Rain Rain

I know that we need the rain because of the lack of snow this winter but, give me a break already.  I think it has rained 10 out of the last 12 days, and the two days it didn't rain it was cloudy.  I am so ready to get the summer going.

I have big plans for the summer and if I am able to do half of those things I will be very pleased.

I really want to do more hiking this year.  I know that most of that will have to be done without Dante, he is not a hiker.  Because Cal and I will be going by ourselves I better invest in a cell phone booster to insure that we are able to get a hold of someone should the need arise.

There are some very remote locations that I would love to visit.  New Hampshire is a haven for hikers.  I don't think I will be ready for Mount Washington but Monadnock is on the horizon.

All around the Lake Winnipesaukee is absolutely gorgeous (although I heard the tick season is incredibly wide spread to take precautions. I used to love to go to Wolfboro, Franklin Notch, Laconia and Meredith.) I hope you get your dry and sunny days soon. I hope you'll take pictures. Who knew the pictures I have of the Old Man of the Mountain would be so valuable to me in terms of memories. I hope you have a safe and wonderful hike out there. I'm truly jealous.

PS I had problems with the frozen cookie recipe. A little a adjusting helped but the scoop you mentioned made all the difference in the world! THANK YOU!

Yes I have also heard stories about how horrible the ticks will be this summer. Cal seems to attrack them. When we first moved to NH we would drive around the lake a couple times a year. I have a few pictures of the old man and apparently there is an old woman too. I will have to take a drive up there and explore. I love my cookies but have not made them for awhile because I ran out of sugar and flour. Can you tell that I don't bake often. Plus I am out of walnuts and frankly EVERYTHING taste better with nuts.
