I am trying to start a "community service" group for teenagers at church. So far it has been slow going. I want to get ten to twelve teenage boys and girls to do work around the 10,000 properties that we own. We cannot keep the lawns mowed and flower gardens looking nice with the staff we have.
Right now some of the lawns have not been trimmed the entire summer. The portion that can be mowed on a rider is done once a week, but the part that would require redmax trimmers is not being done.
Please send some prayers my way because if they allow me to do this I am going to push for several other "groups" to help out in other areas. I just don't understand the red tape involved in getting volunteers in to help. I think that sometime volunteers try to come in and take over and before you know it you have a group of people in your business but honestly we need our church members to get involved.
