On Friday the hubby went with a friend to pick up a load of wood for the fireplace this winter. When we moved in we rented a unit with a fireplace. It is a little extra each month and so far we have not used it, well maybe to burn manufactured logs but that was it.
We have such great friends (and a great God), the truckload of wood was free. That is the best kind. The hubby said it was very nice seasoned hardwood. God is good. I was joking with the hubby that he can now add material handling to his resume.
He was pretty sore for the remainder of the day. When I was a kid, we always cut our own wood and it was very hard work.
Today at church someone approached him and asked if he would like to join the "firewood ministry". It is a group of guys that get together to delivery free firewood to people in need. I think he said yes but he did't have all the qualifications that they wanted...... A guy with a truck.
