I have no idea what went wrong but I burnt the cake and I mean really bad. The oven was a little high, because I had CAL read the directions. He saw 375 and set it for that, but it was suppose to be 350. Honestly though it should not have burnt as badly as it did in just 20 minutes.
The hubby will not have a cake today because he doesn't want me to run to the store for another.
I guess I should never give up my day job to become a baker because I surely would get fired very quickly.

I didn't plan for a birthday dessert. Happily, my MIL dropped by last night bearing tres leches cake. Possibly my favorite cake.
