Happy Valentine's Day

Belated as it may be. It was a good day and thanks to a friends post on Facebook about the history of St. Valentine The Hubby had to admit maybe it wasn't such a stupid day after all.

Cal bought me a houseplant from Home Depot since most of my plants did not make the move. He also bought the hubby two books from our church bookstore. The first was a book called "Raising a Modern-Day Knight" - A Father's Role in Guiding His Son to Authentic Manhood. It was the book of the month and looked good. The second was our church hymnal. There are so many songs that we want to learn so that we can sing songs in the car. That sounds goofy but really we enjoy singing in the car.

I really enjoy the short easy songs like "I'll Fly Away" and "Thank you Lord".

Now I am a really bad singer. I have one of those voices that cause the dogs to howl, so I was really excited that my son wanted to learn songs for us to sing together. Sometimes that boy of mine makes we so proud that I am bursting at the seems, other times he is such a pain I think I need hemorrhoid relief.

I think he is a keeper though. He just needs Jesus as his role model. Then again, don't we all. If you could have known my son last year at this time you would not believe the change God has made in his life. If you have a child that is out of control is almost every aspect, let me recommend Jesus. You will NEVER regret a relationship with Him.
