A Piece of Boston's Skyline
Three years ago the building was valued at 1.3 billion. Today the value is between $650 to $750 million.
The building has about 1.7 million square feet of office space.
Is anyone interested? I hope that the new owner will open the viewing tower on the top floor. That was closed after 9/11 and to the best of my knowledge was never reopened. I was lucky enough to see the view of Boston from there on one occasion.
Psalm 27:13-14
13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. - KJV
13 I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD. - NIV
Don't forget.

The other day when CAL and I went to the Christian bookstore to get The Hubby a new bible. While there we saw the Red Envelopes on display. The store was giving them out for free. The message is simple. It is not acceptable to the citizens of the US to kill unborn babies. We are suppose to be the most intelligent and civilized country in the world yet we still allow this horrible practice to take place year after year.
On March 31, 2009 please take part in Red Envelope Day. All you need to do is get a red envelope and hand address it to:
President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
On the back of the envelope write:
This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world.
Remember to hand write the address, the message and to leave the envelope empty.
Mail your envelope on March 31, 2009. You can log onto the web site: www.redenvelopeday.com for more information.
I am sure that this will have virtually no effect on Mr. Obama because I believe him to be a heartless coward of a man, but I am willing to try almost anything.

90 Days - I think he got hosed
Boy that sounds like a really stiff punishment.
Yeah I think he really got hosed.
That sucked the enthusiasm right out of him.
and this went on and on.
Jason Leroy Savage was arrested after a resident called the police on October 16 to report suspicious activity at a car wash in Thomas Township.
I am sure you can come up with even better ones. Come on think about it and give it your best shot.

August
I have a lot planned for that week. I want to stop in Syracuse and see Marlene, Amy, and maybe even Charis. Then I really would like to visit with Stacey on my way through Cortland.
There are several people that I would love to reconnect with in Addison, Becky, Faith, and Candy to name a few. I have reconnected with most of these people on facebook and have found that I have more in common with some of them than I did in school. Faith has been a huge blessing in my spiritual life.
I thought about staying in one of the boutique hotels in my travels but that probably won't happen.
I am very excited about the possibility of this little trip. The hubby has been very supportive. Of course, we will have to see how supportive he is when the time comes.
Job 5:17
"Blessed is the man who God corrects: so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty" NIV
A new perspective on life.
Then a friend from high school recommend a church here in NH. She has friends that live here and they attend the church and are very happy. We put it off for a few weeks because I thought that it was a goodly distance to drive. We called several "local" churches and tried to change our hearts but God would have none of it and we attended the church on March 1. I cannot explain to you how different this church is, I immediately felt comfortable and at home. This has NEVER happened with me in my life regarding ANYTHING. Not school, college, or work have I ever felt this unexplainable feeling.
Since that time we have attended Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday night service. I look forward to going. Again this is unexplainable to me. I hate commitment and dread when the time rolls around that I have to get ready and go out. I love my home and have no problem not leaving it for days at a time. This is no longer the case.
CAL loves the church also, although he has put up a good fight. It always seems that the days his friends are available are the days we will be leaving for church. He has given up many "hang out sessions" to go to church. Personally I think this is just a ploy by the devil. I mean he had quite a hold on this family - and still does, really.
Last night the pastor of this church - which has a membership in the thousands - took time out of his schedule to meet with CAL. Last Wednesday the Pastor took us out for a late night snack and we had a really good conversation. During that conversation CAL shared his fear that he has God in his head but not in his heart. The Pastor was very concerned about that statement and wanted to counsel CAL regarding it. The Pastor wanted to counsel my 12-year-old son. Does it get any better than that.
This church has renewed The Hubby's and my desire and drive to stay in NH. I think both of us had basically given up the fight and were ready to lay down and lose everything. We both feel refreshed and we are not ready to give up just yet.
Jason has made us an offer that is very hard to pass up. I don't want to close the door on that offer but...... right now I still have some fight left in me. If and when the time comes that God makes it clear to us that NH is not where he wants us we will no doubt consider Jason's offer. I hope he understands - I know he will. That "fall" option sounds pretty darn good.
I cannot think of an explanation
Baby Left in Car Overnight in Texas Found Dead
It seems that a 7-month old baby was left in his car seat overnight after his mother picked up her three children from day care.
Laheather Wilson, 35, said she found the child at 6a.m the following morning, and he was already dead. She is being charged with "injury to a child". WHAT injury - are you serious? I think death is a little more serious than an injury.
Can someone, anyone explain how you leave your kid in the car OVERNIGHT. This was a 7-month old baby. Didn't she notice him missing when she didn't have to get him ready for bed, or change his diaper, or hear him cry for dinner.
Wilson's two other sons are now in the care of Child Protective Services. Didn't those two kids notice that the baby was missing.
About the only thing I can think of is that she does not live with the babies father and she thought that he had the baby. But that is most certainly not an excuse. The charge should be murder and the degree is yet to be determined.

Many things I love about Nashua
We are an hour away from some of the best skiing in New England, an hour away from the Atlantic Ocean and sandy beaches, and an hour from the big city life of Boston. Now Nashua is a smaller city and you don't have to look far to find a little country life.
Nashua also has a lot to offer for a little city. One of the services that we take advantage of is our local public library. They have a huge selection of all types of material. I love the Christian Fiction section. My favorite books of all time are Christian Historical Fiction. Every time I go they have added more books this category.
They also have a large selection of DVD's. Most of them are older titles, but they also get the new releases. The rental period is a week, or two days for the "hot new releases". Try that with Blockbuster.
Several weeks ago CAL noticed that they also have video games. Now I know that seems wrong for a library to have video games but it is the responsibility of the parent to set limitations. CAL is allowed to rent one game and two books. He used to be a good reader (in elementary school) but the middle school that he attends now doesn't encourage it as much. I have to force him to read now and that doesn't help the situation at all.
I know that someday he will enjoy books again. I just have to back off a little.
Any who..... The library has Wii games - I don't think they have the Wii accessories - but I know they have the consoles for other games that you can borrow. The library is such a great resource it is hard to believe we have such a great place in a state that has no sales tax or state income tax. It just proves that states can be run effectively on a budget. They do not need this unlimited source of income... aka our tax dollars.

Isn't life funny
There was a situation in college and I did something horrible. Basically after a night of heavy drinking I got into an argument with roommate and the situation turned violent. The next morning I didn't remember 90% of the situation. I did trash the living room portion of our dorm room. I removed my self from the room - before they could throw me out.
Recently on facebook I reconnected with one of the roommates. This is a person very dear to my heart and after graduation we spent a lot of time with each other. This situation was NEVER talked about. I am not sure why we started talking about it again but she asked if I remember it. I think she was asking because I have a very good memory for the past, sometimes it is too good because things seem to haunt me years later. I told her exactly what I remembered. Now the part that I don't remember is not because it has been 20 years. I didn't remember it the next day. Well she filled in some blanks and those blanks became my demons for several weeks.
It took me quite some time to stop obsessing about what happened many years ago.

Be Careful what you ask!
The phone rang and it was Jason, so I said "answer me honestly, I already know the answer, but answer me honestly, do you think I am a negative person?"
Jason replied "I would not use the word negative." Then Jason proceeded to build me up. He said you are:
stubborn
opinionated
prideful
stubborn
frustrated
overwhelmed
stubborn
defeated
stubborn
"but no I would not use "negative".
Thanks Jason, that was EXACTLY what I wanted to hear.
OK I did it!
Charles Crassley
The executives at AIG are equally as disgusting but to suggest that someone (other than murders, rapist, people who commit crimes against a child, or other horrific crimes) commit suicide is ridiculous. It is money people. When did we start making the punishment for white collar crimes more severe than violent crimes.
As Americans we need to get our priorities straight. Money is not nearly as important as we make it. These executives should be unemployed and possibly even charged with a crime (if a crime took place) but to suggest that they kill themselves is disgusting. I am ashamed to say that you are a fellow Republican and you give us good Republicans a bad name.
Our country is going down the toilet and frankly we can only blame our lawmakers for this, according to CivilWar2010. So does that mean that the public should be calling for Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley to take his life? I think not!
Pathetic
This morning The Hubby and I stood in the kitchen and laughed until tears rolled down our cheeks, why? Well - CAL needed a quarter for school so that he could get a snack out of the vending machines. I searched the house high and low for a quarter. It took me almost 15 minutes to find ONE. I searched in every drawer, chair/couch, and finally found one lone quarter in the junk drawer in the kitchen. Now if CAL could have used a Chuck E. Cheese token we would have been fine.
I handed CAL the quarter with a huge smile on my face and told him "take care of it son, it is the last one we have". Then being the joke'ster that he is, he started tossing the quarter up and down. Guess what? He dropped it and then we spent the next 10 minutes looking for it. It had rolled under the register and behind the carpet. I had to tear the register apart to get our last quarter.
A few moments later The Hubby came in from the garage and produced two more quarters and a dime. We all looked at the money with shock on our faces. I asked with disbelief "where did you get that?". He answered: "In the Jeep". Now there is not a dime in the Jeep should we have to park at a meter.
You know what? I feel good. Isn't that strange? Everything is going to be OK. It might not be OK here in this house, or even in Nashua, but everything is going to be OK.

High Hopes
Well in a few months 17 years will become a reality. The only plans that I have made is to wait and do something really special at our 20th. Someday I hope to have a big wedding. I will send out wedding invitations and the whole nine yards. Of course, because The Hubby and I don't have real jobs we really don't have any friends. This will make it a small "real wedding". Who knows now that we are going to church again, and loving it, we might have a big wedding after all.

My boy
When you live this close
We have a term in our house, "Massachusetts Moron". These people cross the border and drive like idiots. I am not kidding and I am not exaggerating. They flood the stores on the weekends and forget about getting anywhere near the mall on Holidays. Now this is good for our economy but frankly after a while you just want them to go home and stay there.
People from MA are also not very intelligent people. Now I know this is a broad statement. I do have proof, however. These people have elected and re-elected liars, adulterers, murderers, drug addicts, and criminals, otherwise known as "The Kennedy's".
Now comes one of many ridiculous parts of Obama's porkulus package. More than $1 out of every $5 of the $126 million Massachusetts is receiving in federal money from the newly passed government spending bill is going to help preserve the legacy of the Kennedys. Did you read that right? YES you did. The geniuses in MA have decided to spend money, that should be earmarked to give taxpayers some relief, on honoring liars, adulterers, murderers, drug addicts, and criminals, otherwise known as "The Kennedy's"
Good job "Massachusetts Moron's".
Now I realize that not everyone in MA is a moron, and I understand that not everyone in NH is perfect. So save your nasty email for Obama, I don't need it.

I agree with Rachel Lucas
Apparently the cat came up to the window and peed all over it. Now this window is missing the storm window so the pee was inside the frame. In other words there would be no chance of this ever being washed off with rain or snow.
The snow is knee deep out there so cleaning would require me to mean crawling through the snow. Today I just could not take it any longer. We have a little table that sits in front of the window and that is where we have our lunch and breakfast. I could not stop looking at that huge amount of cat pee. I grabbed the Windex and the snow shovel and headed out. I had to shovel about a 10 to 15 foot path and I just sprayed the heck out of the window and the frame.
I hate cats.
Happy Birthday!
Tomorrow is his daughters birthday. Happy Birthday Rachel. My birthday wish for you is that you will find that perfect job you have been waiting for.
Sunday is one of my dearest friends birthday, Becky. I have known Becky since 7th grade. She was the one and only person that could keep me grounded and on the right track. She is nothing like me. She is sweet, kindhearted, intelligent, and a wonderful friend.
Obama 'Ain't Jesus
Ignoring all the ain'ts and gonna's, this is the most intelligent thing I have heard the Rev. Wright say.
I am sure that Wright referred to Obama as the Messiah several times early in the campaign.
Sounds to me like the Rev Wright might be a little sick of looking at the underside of the bus. Honestly though, isn't that where he belongs.

No Jury in the World
Now I used to be good about filing everything in it's place but lately things are all over. Looking for the bill that he wrote the new password on could take me hours.

More Site Issues
I cannot find them and only see them occasionally. Someone else reported that the site was very slow and they had to hit refresh several times before they were able to view.
I am going to be removing all widgets and see if that helps. I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions that you might have for me.

Upcoming Birthday.
The other birthday is on March 7th and that is the best birthday gift my husband ever received. Really I cannot compete with this one. His daughter, Rachel, will be turning 32. Isn't that funny the daughter is older than the father. I can give him anything money can buy but I can never beat the birthday gift he received in 1977.
I thought about getting them matching Jaeger-LeCoultre, wouldn't that be cute.
OK ENOUGH!!!
I am more in the mood for looking at pool supplies, spending the day at the beach, and working in my garden. I don't want any more snow or snow days. CAL is praying for as much snow as possible he wants an extended vacation.
I love the four seasons, winter, spring, summer, and fall. I don't think I could live anywhere that didn't have the four distinct ones. That being said: When the time comes to move into the next season, I am more than ready to bid for former good-bye.
