The front page news article on CNN (The Obama Network) is criticizing Zimbabwe for their lavish party despite national crisis.
I don't remember this same headline when their (CNN) Messiah was throwing a million dollar party to celebrating duping hundreds of thousands of Americans.
Now the report states that Mugabe's party raised $250K to throw this party. That is a huge difference compared to Obama's 150 MILLION.
We are doomed America. We have a president that is worse than President Robert Mugabe. He is more heartless and self-serving.
O = One
B = Big
A = Ass
M = Mistake
A = America
Also in the article was this statement: "He emphasized that the country's "indigenization program" -- which forces all major foreign companies operating in Zimbabwe to have at least 51 percent black ownership -- will be carried out. It began last year and hasn't been implemented yet."
This is exactly the PLAN that Obama has for this nation. Did you hear his radio address saying that not enough had been done to redistribute wealth to blacks?

It is finally gone!
Cal's money that is. Several weeks ago he sold his game boy and accessories. He actually made out quite well. The package sold after being listed on eBay for less than an hour. That means that I priced it too cheap.
Anyway that money has been burning a hole in CAL's pocket ever since. He had $60 left and that was spent yesterday. He bought three shirts and a pair of shorts from Aeropostale. I loved the fact that he was willing to spend his own money on clothes. Some kids would just assume that is the parents responsibility (really isn't it?) and would have been upset. Not CAL, of course I gave him the impression that every kid has to pay for his own clothes.
He actually spent the money very wisely and he feels so much better about himself with his new duds. Hollister and Aeropostale are the only acceptable places to ship right now. They are expensive but I NEVER pay full price. There were several pairs of jeans on the clearance rack for $11.00. The problem is they were not his size. He needs a 27/28 and these were 28/30. Actually the 27/28 are a little long and big in the waist, so the larger size was just too much of a jump.
The main thing is he feels better. I have no problem with him spending money to feel better about himself. I would rather he spend it on something like clothes rather than other silly non-tangible things.
The one thing that he wants so badly, but I know the husband would just pitch a fit is the Hollister or Aeropostale cologne. I am going to try to get it for Easter and just deal with the husbands temper tantrum at that time.

If I were a rich man. Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum
I would invest in real estate right now. The values of real estate has dropped so dramatically in the past few years, if you had the money to invest and then just sit and wait out the rotten economy you would make a killing.
I don't anticipate ever getting back to pre 9/11 days but it has to get better right? It might take a few years. I have noticed some commercial real estate in our town that I would love to snatch up. The other day the Hubby and I had a long talk about the future of our company. Some days I wonder if we have a future but I must have faith. We have a more secure business than many others in our industry. I personally believe the key is stock. If you are purely or mostly a broker your days are numbered. If you business relies on four or five customers you should start to panic. You maybe doing fine now but....... when (not if) when you lose those customers you have nothing left. I have been in business a long time and I know that customers come and go. They come and go for a variety of reasons. Most are not even your fault.
My husband and I talk all the time that our stock (inventory) is our savings. Right now we are selling dribs and drabs here and there. That will not last forever (I hope). We have been in business 20 years and have seen more "trends" than I care to admit. It is all about being able to modify your business plan to work with the trend. I think 20 years in the business proves we have that capability.

Nightime Issues.
It is really weird but I go through stages with sleeping issues. I might have a two or three week period where I wake up every night at 3 a.m. They next issue might be that I get headaches for a stretch. Maybe the next issue will be the same reoccurring dream "theme" for several nights in a row. The one issue that seems to both me the most is waking up to use the facilities and immediately starting to worry that I won't get back to sleep. If I think about, it forget it! I will not sleep the rest of the night. If I can not think about it I am fine and can get back to sleep very quickly.
Several weeks ago I woke up several times a night because I would curl my wrists so hard that they would fall sleep. Lately it has arm issues. I just cannot find a comfortable place to put my arms. It is so strange. I will wake up because they have fallen asleep, do you have any idea how painful it can be when your arms fall sleep?
There are nights that I wish God had made us with removable arms and legs. Can you imagine how convenient that would be. Airlines could add so many more seats because they would not have to leave any leg room. Oh my gosh the possibilities are endless.

VACATION
CAL has his "winter break" vacation this week. So far we have only gone to the movies, because we have all been so sick. I feel so bad for him. What a lousy vacation. You don't get to go any where, your sick, and your friends are mean nasty people (that is for another blog-that will probably never be written).
Today we went to the movies. To be more specific we went to Chunky's and watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop. I must confess this is the funniest movie that I have seen in a long time. It was hilarious and I don't say that often. It was a little violent for the little ones but the kids CAL's age loved it. I don't remember any foul language or sexual content. It was perfect.
Tomorrow it looks like a trip to the mall. That means Hollister, Aeropostale, and Aunt Annie's. Now the hubby's birthday is in a few days. CAL bought him a present (from Hollister - he is going to be the hippest 57 year-old on the block) the other day and I know the hubby is going to love it.
I would wish we were able to go away for a weekend, but unless I can find free hotel rooms, that won't be happening any time soon.
I am determined to make this a good vacation for CAL. I have an uphill battle but I will do my best.

In the News
It is funny but each year there seems to be a high number of "events" that happen out of the norm. For example: A few years ago there were a large number of shark attacks. Then there was the year of hurricanes. It has been proven that neither of these events were really abnormal... it just seemed that way to us.
The year 2009 is the year of plane crashes. It seems that almost every day you hear about another crash. There was the Hudson River Crash - a happy ending - but others have not been so lucky.
This morning there is another report in the news of a plane crash. This one happened in Amsterdam Wednesday. The plane was carrying 127 passengers and seven crew members. It is unclear was to whether there were fatalities. One spokesperson say yes and another is reporting no.
Also in the news:
There is the report regarding Sarah Palin. This women had the audacity of taking her kids with her on trips. How dare that women try to have a job and a family too. I just don't understand this. Pork spending is out of control in government and they have to worry about a women wanting her family with her while she travels. Why don't they worry about the $100K bar tab that some of these politicians run up. Or the lavish spending on "celebrations", stages, or how about that new logo Obama had made before he was even elected. How much do you think that cost. Now some will say that taxpayers didn't pay for those things. It is those same people that elected Obama. It is the simple thinking that will bring this country to it's knees and worship The One.

New Site
I started a new blog a couple days ago. The main reason is so that I can continue to do paid blogging. The paid blogging company that I love to work for has a new rule that you cannot blog for a competing company. The second company I make more money with but..... I love the first company so much more. That being said..... I have started a new blog. This blog will be a better fit for the second company anyway.
The new blog is What'ca Think?, and I will be doing product reviews. I am not going to blog everyday and will probably do a review once a week.
I just did another review for My Points. Honestly folks if you have not signed up for this program you are really missing out. I received my $25.00 gift card to Olive Garden and I am only a couple hundred points away from an additional $25.00. This program pays better than some paid blogging and definitely better than those silly widget that clutter up blogs.
I still have a lot of tweaking to do on the site. It seems that I have forgotten most of the ways to get your blog noticed. Writersblock I will be trying to tap into your wealth of knowledge. Will you help me?

Math Facts
When CAL was in second grade they had a contest called Fast Facts. You had math problems and you had to get a 100% on the timed test. If I remember correctly there were 100 problems to be completed in five minutes. CAL rocked. He was first in his class. We worked so hard on those silly problems. Each night I gave him a test, and we also worked with flash cards - maybe if we had compact flash cards it would have worked better.
There were several times that CAL would come home with a 99. This was frustrating because the rules were that you had to get 3 100's in a row in order to move on to the next level. So if he got the 99 on the third test he went back to zero.
CAL has fallen out of practice with his facts. It is amazing to me but they do not continue to reinforce these facts in the older grades.

Slow Blogging
My blogging has really suffered recently. I just don't seem to have enough ambition after I deal with work and CAL to blog. I have not even riled myself up about politics.
Work has been a struggle. I find myself in constant battles with companies and people that are suppose be helping me. That being said.... My medical insurance is through a company called MVP. They are wonderful. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this company. They understand the tough times that we (as a nation) are going through and they bend over backwards to be helpful. I love this company and I don't ever plan on switching. You never know how good or poor a company is until there is a problem. I am finding that out first hand. I love when people say "I have never had a problem". GREAT wait until you do have a problem and then let me know how wonderful the company is.
One area that has been a constant struggle is with our POS system. I just cannot seem to get it working correctly. Talking to support is a joke. These people have no clue. They type your problem into a computer and read whatever is on the screen. They don't know how to help you other than to read what their screen states. Companies need to concentrate on customer service.

More catching up!
I have had so much fun catching up with all my college and high school friends these past couple weeks. As I have stated before it has brought some stress into my life that I certainly do not need but it has brought some closure and many laughs.
Three of my very best friends from college (they are in several of my facebook pictures) I have reconnected with. One -- we have picked up where we left off. I find myself talking to her like we have known each other every day of our lives. I have talked about her before, Sarah. The other day I became determined to find Sally. Sally and I were roommates, and we didn't part ways on a very good note. I wanted her to know how sorry I was/am about the things that happened. She has been a little standoffish but that is understandable. The third, Chris, contacted me today with a very short email and I am looking forward to hearing more after her busy weekend.
Now here is a funny, Sarah and Sally live within a few blocks of each other and didn't even know it. I have a feeling they will be taking a walk to meet each other real soon. I am jealous.

Sick and Tired
I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired. I woke up in the middle of the night with an award winning headache. I felt like the top of my head was going to explode. Usually nighttime headaches happen at the back of my head but this one......... I took some Tylenol, and slept later than I normally would but I still don't feel all that special.
The one good thing about being sick and tired all the time is that it is better than any of those weight loss pills for losing weight. The down side, of course, is that you are sick and tired.
I know that the constant unrelenting stress that we are under does not help our health, but give me a break, this family has been passing this "thing" back and forth for almost three weeks now. I turned all the air purifiers on, trying to get the air clean. I have never vacuumed and cleaned this much in my life. I have to start feeling better soon or I am going to lose my mind.

Stupid on so many levels.
The New York Post believes in the old adage "there is no such thing as bad publicity." They have published a cartoon that shows two police officers shooting a chimpanzee. The caption reads "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill". How stupid. It is not stupid for the reason that most people think. It is stupid because why in the world would you want to open this can of worms.
I don't know about you but....... This whole racism issue has become much bigger in the past year because of Obama. Obama played the race card when there was no reason to play the race card. Obama set this nation back to a time when race relations and tensions are at a high, 1960's - 70's. With Obama we are not going forward...... we are going back. Why add to this nonsense. Was the cartoon in bad taste. YES! Was it "racist" who knows anymore........ Everything that is said that someone doesn't like suddenly becomes racist.
I do know that George Bush was depicted as a CHIMP many more times than Obama and I didn't hear anyone crying "racist" then.
I still stand by my statement: This nation is/was ready for a black president.... Obama is not the right person. I would have loved to see Condi Rice. She would have really made history. A first female/black president.

Memories
Memories can be a very powerful thing. I have always thought I had an average memory until this past week. I have reconnected with some college friends and I am remembering more than both of them combine.
I have two friends in particular, I will call them Sarah and Brooke, we share some very good and very horrible memories. I found out something from my friend Sarah, not because I forgot but because I don't think I ever knew it to begin with. This particular "thing" threw me for a loop. I started to really get down on myself regarding the situation. I was scared. Scared because I thought that it just might change the person that I am. I have stressed and stressed about this situation and you know what? I cannot change it.
I know that Sarah has forgiven me...... I don't think Brooke has..... but frankly because I didn't know about it, I have never apologized. Personally I think Brooke would just rather forget about it but I know that the situation has changed our "relationship" forever.
The strange thing is that Sarah and I kept in touch for a couple years after college. It is strange that this topic never came up during that time. Maybe it was for the best..... I don't know how I would have dealt with it at that time in my life.

Can we believe him?
Frankly I am tired of acting like a Democrat, constantly complaining and whining about our President. I have tried to look for the positive. This has been like looking for a needle in a haystack.
Today I might have found my first bit of positive regarding Obama. That is if we can believe him? Fox News is reporting: Obama Opposes 'Fairness Doctrine' Revival. This policy reminds me of when you call a really tall guy "Shorty", or a really fat guy "Slim". The Fairness Doctrine is anything but "fair". The policy would require broadcasters to provide opposing viewpoints on controversial issues, at their expense. What that basically means is that a church could not broadcast their sermons on TV (which they paid for) without then paying for extra time for someone to come in and dispute their views. That is really the simple way of putting it, but the consequences of such a policy could be limitless.
Then to add to the fact that the government would be controlling our ability to voice an opinion, it was reported that Henry Waxman wanted to discuss ways to enact the policies to the Internet.
Like it or not, Americans are divided. This divide is so strong that many of us would just rather split the country and have Democrats on one side and Republicans on the other. Two seperate countries. Honeslty I am so disgusted that I would be more than happy to move, form a new country, and have a new name.
I hope that Obama is being upfront and truthful regarding this issue. His track records shows otherwise. Republicans have had to listen to Democrats "RED MY LIPS" whining for years. Now it is our turn.
Oh and on a side note: I read on a facebook profile the other day someone calling themselves an extremely and sanely left with an open mind. Well honey you better close that mind real quick before all your brains fall out.

Messed UP
Something is really messed up with my site. I cannot view it at all. I am not sure if any of my readers can or not. I have checked everything that I can think of. My other blogs (that are hosted at the same place) seem to be ok. Does anyone have any ideas?

OK, it is official
The "birds" that brought down flight 1549 into the Hudson river have been identified as Canadian Geese. Now that it is official, the morons who have already filed lawsuits "because $5,000 is not enough compensation for living through a plane crash", must have their cases dismissed.
First of all they are suing the wrong people and they are suing in the wrong venue. They must move their cases to Canada. This case is now Canada's problem, now ours. I mean they have to be responsible for their geese, don't they.
This should actually be good news for these people because I am sure they were all very distraught about filing such a silly lawsuit against their fellow American's. Now they don't have to worry. It is Canada's problem now.

Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

OK I have to make a decision on what to get the hubby for Valentines day. It is much easier to buy gifts at this point in our lives because we are no longer buying things when we want them, we are waiting until we NEED them.
The hubby needs several items right now. I have thought a clothes, sneakers, and even getting a little frivolous with DVD's. The thing I think he needs the most is a new watch. He is the type of guy that feels naked with a watch. The one he currently has is on it's last leg. It is losing time each day.
I found this website that I absolutely love, Kenmar Watches.com. They have great prices but the thing I like best is the number of ways that you can narrow your search. You can search by color, style, price, and brands - including Fendi watches . The Hubby is a huge fan of the color
orange, so that was the first criteria that I used. The site had almost 450 watches that were orange, in their men's department. The second best feature of the site was the fact that when you place your cursor on a picture it automatically shows you a larger, more detailed, picture of the item. That is a great feature because you don't have to click and leave the current page only to have hit the back button to get back. All that clicking and back and forth becomes very annoying after a while. I find that if I constantly have to click on pictures to get more information, I am less likely to shop on site and most definitely less likely to browse.
I have narrowed my search down to the two watches here. I like them because they have both analog and digital displays. I really like the Timberland because even the numbers are orange. What is
your opinion?Ask and you shall receive. Yes Instinct the watch comes with a black band. You are right it would be better if you wanted a more sophisticated look. Fortunately we rarely have to dress up. This might be a better choice just because it won't clash with anything that he might be wearing. The orange is pretty loud. It is definitely something to think about.
I hope Jimmy Carter reads this.
Amnesty accuses Hamas militants of deadly campaigns against PALESTINIANS. These people are so freaking violent that they are now not just happy killing Israelis they are killing their own. Their claim is that these fellow Palestinians are spying for Israel.
Yes Jimmy these people are just kind people who are misunderstood.

Sweet Jesus, please come back and get us NOW!
I mentioned to a friend recently that I was more than ready go spend time with Jesus. Oddly enough we almost immediately lost contact (facebook chat). The next day when I logged on I received a message from her to please explain. I felt bad because she had interpreted the comment as a suicide attempt.
No! That was not what I meant at all. What I meant was that I am ready for Jesus to come and take us away from this world. Each and everyday things seem to be getting worse and worse.
The situation with our country is at the top of my concerns. We have just elected the worst "man" for the job. So far he has released terrorists that have killed Americans. Why? To make us look good to our enemies. He had cleared the way to make harvesting babies acceptable, and he has given our young girls the impression that a "mistake" doesn't have to slow you down.
Now he makes the scariest statement I have heard in a long time. "Only government can break cycle of job loss, economic downturn". In essence he is saying that only the government can save us. Save us from what? The government, because whether you want to admit it or not, that is our problem. We have a HUGE government, huge payroll, huge programs for "needy", and HUGE corruption.
The government cannot save us. The government is the problem. We need less government not more. People need to stop relying on the government. When trees fall because of an ice storm, you clean it up. Don't wait for the government. When a natural disaster hits, you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get to work. The government is not suppose to be their to clean the junk cars out of your yard.
Obama wants bigger government, of course he does, it is called JOB SECURITY. Wake up world, more government is not the answer, they are the problem.

15 Companies that might not make it through 2009
This article at Yahoo.com was very interesting. It lists the 15 companies that might not make it through 2009. Some of them were ho hum but others were very interesting.
Blockbuster - I just had to put our account on hold. We would get three movies a weekend. We would be lucky to see one "good" one a month. Hollywood needs to STOP producing this JUNK. Cut back and give us quality...... not quantity.
Chrysler - Even after a 4 billion dollar bailout. I feel like stopping my car payment. They are not the nicest of companies.
Six Flags - I don't know about you but I don't have $200 to spend on a day at the park.
Krispy Kreme - obviously most people are not like me..... I eat when stressed..... which is the exact opposite of what I did in college.
Sirius Satellite Radio - We have sirius and honestly folks I hate seeing that "acquiring signal" message constantly. The radio will play fine for five or ten minutes and then it cuts in and out so much you cannot stand to listen. Now the built-in in the car plays flawlessly.

Wrestling Tournament
We arrive at the tournament yesterday around 9. The hubby couldn't get there fast enough. Then we sit around and wait, and wait, and wait. CAL wrestled once for 3 minutes sometime between 9 and 12. He lost. I think he has just given up. He is very frustrated. I was very upset. I told him that if that was the "best" he had to give why even bother coming. The hubby got really mad at me. He thinks that because I push CAL that I am a psycho sports parent. No! I don't agree. I think that if he is not going to give 100% each and every time why bother. Then I had to hear the tirade about how much the hubby hates sports. Which is actually very different from the person that I married. The hubby used to love sports and at Christmas sports gifts were always under the tree.
Our weekend is "consumed" with sports, according to the Hubby. CAL has wrestling from 3-5 Friday, and then there is a basketball game later that evening. On Saturday he has both wrestling from 7-9 and then a basketball game sometime before 1. That is usually it. The past couple weekends there has been a tournament. We have to have CAL ready to met the van at 7 and then he might not get home before 5. This is the first tournament we have attended, and only CAL's second.
Honestly, I am tired of this fight. I am tired of trying to keep CAL active. When I was younger I loved to be outside and playing something. The hubby looks at that as a personality defect. He refuses to do anything physical. We sit in the house and watch TV the majority of the time. If I get up off the couch to do something I am encouraged to "sit down and relax". I have gotten so I hate the term "relax".
I am so overweight and I have a husband that encourages me to be so. Heaven forbid if I actually want to go for a walk. I don't think that it is because he likes "big women", I think that he just has turned into an inactive bump.
There is actually very little that the hubby and I agree on in regards to CAL. We are about as opposite as we can get. Now that hubby is getting older, religion is becoming a "major" issue. I hate the big brother feeling.
I love my husband I really do....... You have to remember that we are together 24/7. We have been together almost 20 years. We are going to have more arguments than most, and definitely butt heads more than most.
I probably should not be blogging about such issues but sometimes I just need someone to tell me I am not a crazy 'itch.

A little whine anyone
This morning at 6:15 CAL had to be awake and ready to head off to a wrestling tournament. He had already told us that he likes to go to these with just his team and not us. This is fine with me but, the hubby has issues.
I was still in my pj's and the hubby had just put clothes on to run him to catch the van. Then CAL starts with the whine. "I really want you to go", I thought you knew that when I said I didn't care. I really care, I want you to come". I responded with too bad I have not showered and I am not going. I get "the look" from the husband. The one that says I am a horrible mother because I do not jump through these hoops when CAL puts them out there.
I just looked at him and said "I am not getting dressed and ready to go in five minutes. I cannot leave this house without a shower, and the answer is NO!"
I bet you $10 that when the hubby gets home he will insist that I get ready and we head to Concord for the day.
See the "whine" works with hubby and he immediately melts and jumps around like a dog that has not seen you in months. Me, I am just the opposite. The more he whines the more determined I am to totally ignore and do just the opposite.

Right around the corner.
Valentine's Day is right around the corner. I told CAL that he is expected to give us gifts. He is horrible about buying gifts on special days. He immediately responded with "exactly what will you be throwing my way?" I wanted to respond with "my fist" but that would be a totally inappropriate thing to say to your darling child.
I have several ideas for both CAL and the hubby. CAL will get something Hollister. He has become very interested in clothes. This is a good thing. He is starting to dress nicer, which is something that is very important to me. I am thrilled that he is showing an interest in looking good.
The hubby needs new jeans and would like a couple pairs of sweats from Old Navy. Unfortunately Old Navy does not carry the kind he wanted. I have a few other ideas like a some Festina watches, a new computer, or even a new Jeep. You never realize how much you need that second car until you have only one.
We will have to see what I can come up with in the next few days.

This is a perfect example
of why Democrats are not qualified to run this country. The wonderful Nancy Pelosi thinks that if the stimulus package is not passed quickly that 500 million Americans will lose their jobs.
Really according to the US Census Bureau the population of the US is only 306 million. I even rounded up. That number included everyone..... not just viable workers.
It is this type of "math" and ignorance in the Democratic party that has me more scared, than I have ever been in my adult life, regarding the future of this country.
We now have a president that said about 3 or 4 times that we have 57 states. You would have thought that he would have noticed his "error" but he didn't he kept saying 57 states.
Thank you to Pamibe for pointing this out.
When are we as a country going to ban together and get rid of these "scare tactics" people. She threw out a number that was real big. She really wanted to scare the citizens into thinking that Obama plan has to be passed (without question). Problem is she is only 194 million off and that is assuming that every person is a "worker". Do we really have room for that type of error.
Nancy Pelosi runs the worst Congress in the history of this nation and now Democrats have rewarded her with additional years to not do her job. We complain about the Wall Street ex's that still have their jobs...... What about this Congress.

I thought he was a Senator from CHICAGO
Obama has proven once again this his administration will adopt the following attitude: "Don't do as I do..... Do as I say."
While Obama is telling the citizens of the United States that we have to conserve and cut back on everything from gas consumption to turning the thermostat down in our houses, Mr Obama has cranked the heat in the Oval office to over 80 degrees. Yes I am serious. In his speech he said that Americans could NOT keep their house at 72 degrees. They must cut back. He is taking lessons from Bill Clinton. He will not keep his house at 72....... No he will keep it at almost 80.
The excuse given to the media (which most are not reporting on this) is that he is from Hawaii and cannot stand the cold, and the oval office is drafty, and HE IS THE ONE how dare you question the messiah.

Their loss can be your gain.
It is difficult to drive around in your cars and not see several people holding signs for stores going out of business. The other day when we went to the mall there were three different sign holders on one corner.
It is a scary time that we live in.
The only good thing about this economy is that if you have money you can really make money. Now is the time to spend, spend, spend. If you are secure and can invest in inventory, do yourself a favor and do it. Property values are at an all time low but I don't think they will EVER be where they were eight years ago. Invest in merchandise. This of course is just my own personal opinion and I am not an expert in anything, so I would not invest your life savings or anything.
One company that is doing exactly what I am talking about is FoxyFinding.com. They are purchasing beading supplies from companies closing their doors. Now is the best time for the consumer too. You can get some great deals and possibly even start that dream business you have always wanted. At FoxyFindings.com you will find almost everything you need to support your jewelry making needs.
They have liquidation prices, no minimum quantities, large selection, and exclusive handmade items.
I know several of my readers have their own jewelry making businesses. They sell their products on Esty. Now is the time to start your own business and earn that extra cash that you need.

OK I get it..... I now understand the allure of facebook. WB has been on for a while and kept talking about how addictive it was. I personally didn't understand how to find any one or even navigate my way around.
I think for a while I might have had it confused with myspace. I have tried, really I have, I just cannot find anything on myspace.
That being said I am addicted to facebook. I have found some high school friends and a few college people that are willing to talk to me and I am having a blast.
I have one college friend in particular, it feels like we have picked up where we left off. We have chatted several times and have had some really good conversations. The best part is we are not living in the past. I dislike relationships that depend on the "remember when" aspect. I want to have relationships that live in the present.
I also have a high school friend that is very dear to me. We were not exceptionally close in high school because she was the smart level headed "goodies-two-shoes" (she hates when I say that) and I was just the opposite. I am not sure if I have ever expressed this to this friend, but she saved me from going down a worse road than I was headed several times.
I have also touched bases with a few people who were friends but not close. I am just truly enjoying myself.
