Success

My first Black Friday experience was a complete and total success. Several weeks ago the hubby and I were in Home Depot and were admiring their artificial trees. We found out just before Christmas last year that CAL was allergic to any/all pine trees, so we used a small table top because we just didn't have enough set aside to pay $100+ for a tree. At Home Depot we saw one that both of us really liked but it was $130.00. We just could not justify the expense.

A couple days ago a teacher at school said that they bought theirs on Black Friday and I should check out the specials. I logged onto the Black Friday web site, looked under Home Depot and sure enough there was our tree. It was $49.00. I was so excited.

That significant of a savings justifies me getting up at 5:30 a.m. and heading to the stores. I refused to wait in any entry line so we arrived shortly after 6:00 a.m. The store was not that bad and right in front was the tree I wanted. As a matter of fact there were seven of them. I ran to the back of the store to look at the display to make 100% sure it was the correct tree. All the boxes in the back were damaged, CAL and I quickly walked back up front, I told CAL that if anyone got in our way they might need some whole life insurance. I selected a tree and started for the other end of the store for a few small things I wanted to look at. That tree was so heavy, CAL grabbed a cart and we continued shopping.

I purchased a few small stocking stuffers and we were back in the car with 30 minutes. No one was harmed in the purchasing of my tree.

It is a beautiful tree that was in true (our last name) fashion was put up on the day after Thanksgiving.

I'm glad you got your tree.

I just mopped the floor where our tree will go. Am taking a moment to be online before I put up the tree.

Had great difficulty getting into the attic to pull down the christmas stuff after the great ladder break of 2 weekends ago. But, most, if not all, of the crates are down and we can commence decorating in a few minutes.

Why, yes, the kid is here, how'd you know?
