We were both very excited and started picking out all the clothes that would be necessary. A couple weeks after paying our deposit and buying the insurance, we found out that we were pregnant with CAL. I am so glad we bought that insurance because we were able to get our deposit back. We canceled for two reasons. One, I would have been eight months pregnant when we actually sailed and two, we had suffered a miscarriage the year before - while on vacation, so we were not taking any chances.
Many years later I would love to take a cruise, but my tastes have changed. They have actually done a 180. I would not want to take a cruise to the cold Alaskan waters. My dream cruise would be Caribbean cruises. I want to go somewhere nice and warm with lots of sand and blue waters. After living in New England for many years I want warm BLUE ocean water. Take a look at this picture...... Does it get more inviting than that.
I don't know about you, but I often plan dream vacations. Someday I hope to be able to take one or two of those dream vacations. I have planned many, the Grand Canyon, Alaska, and several others. That being said my ideal cruise vacation destination would be to warm waters and it would be planned with the help of Carnival. They are the biggest and best when it comes to cruises.
I would love to go island hoping. I love variety and at the prices listed I would be able to spend several days longer than I would have thought.
