I am not a Rose Colored Glasses sort of person. I know the faults of my son and husband quite well. That being said CAL has a very difficult time with friends. I have mentioned this before. Does he deserve some of the nasty treatment, YES. Does he deserve all that he gets, not even close.
I don't want to jinx myself, or him, but this youth group at church is really working miracles in his life. He is like a different kid. After returning from camp we have only had one argument, that resulted when kids came knocking on our door to start trouble. I won't go into detail because I think I have a reader on my site that is only here to start trouble.
If his behavior continues to improve and we get business going again, come the winter I am going to need advise on where to purchase the best pet supplies. We know exactly what he wants and most importantly what the family wants. I have even found the "product" at a reasonable price. I am very excited and hope that things continue on the current course.
If I can keep these neighborhood kids from starting trouble, we will be all set.

None of us like to see our kids get hurt, physically or emotionally, by other kids. Yet sometimes they have to learn the hard way by their interactions what's acceptable and what's not when dealing with others. The difficult part is walking that fine line between letting them learn and protecting them.
