Checkout Boy?

CAL loves to go through the self-checkout line at the grocery store. He is just fascinated with running the items over the barcode scanner, and bagging his own order. Personally I dislike the self-checkout - which is a temperamental as a sixteen year old girl. I have to have a person come clear the machine for something - unexpected item in bagging area, item removed from bagging area, or some crazy thing - almost every time I use it.

The Hubby is a huge believer in a kid working while they are in high school and has CAL convinced that he will have a job during that time. I think that a kid should be a kid while they can because they will have 50 years to work after high school. They Hubby keeps telling him that "this is what a job in a grocery store will be like". Honestly folks, if MY son is going to work while he is in high school it will be someplace cool like a clothing store at the mall, not at a grocery store!
