Goodbye!

Goodbye Jack. CAL's gecko Jack finally succumbed sometime during the night on Saturday. I felt so bad for him as his health had taken a significant turn for the worse.

CAL took it quite well, and we had a nice burial in the back yard.



I noticed that Eugene is having the same eye issues that Jack did and his one eye is gone. I was brainstorming reasons that the gecko's have become some sickly lately. It could be the fact that they have survived two ice storms (several days without electricity - we almost lost them both times). The other idea is that we started feeding them city water several months ago when we stopped using the water cooler. They were several years old but I thought they should last longer. Maybe they were just not good quality geckos to begin with. They didn't seem to grow like we thought they would.
