Today I was desperate for some good news. I held off on logging onto the news sites as long as possible because they never seem to have any good news anymore.
I need good news! I am desperate. I have had so much bad news these past few days, I just need something positive.... like baby announcements, wedding announcements, or "I am free of cancer" announcements.
On Friday I received news that a wonderful lady that we have known since moving to our city is only weeks away from losing her battle with brain cancer. She is just a wonderful person and I thought she was really going to win the battle.
There is also another lady that I worked with briefly at the school that is battling a rare form of liver cancer. I guess her one request from people has been privacy - I can totally understand that - so there is not much information to go on, but I don't think she is doing well. She is also a great person that only weeks ago was still trying to help me with my computer issues. She never said a word about being ill. My wish for both of them is that they know Jesus.
