Teacher email:
Today when CAL returned from lunch he came to me and said that (a certain child that CAL has had issues with all year) pushed him while lining up at the end of recess. I had him tell his other teacher who has "certain child" currently and I sent him down to guidance. I don’t have the full details but I wanted to let you know that something happened today at recess. Unfortunately, today is not a Starfish day to have lunch/recess duty so we did not see the incident
My response:
CAL has been complaining about this child almost daily. He will not say anything about bullying unless it turns physical, that is why I am hearing so much and you are not. He had a rough weekend and I am sure his tolerance level is lower than most days. I just want you to know that CAL is being bullied on a daily basis.
Teacher Response:
When CAL came back from guidance he said that Mrs."soandso" talked to both himself and the other child and it appeared that this time it was a miss understanding. Other child was playing tag and running away from someone else. When he bumped into CAL he apologized and CAL said that was true. I am on lunch/recess duty tomorrow and I will keep eye out for any funny business
I am going to talk to Guidance about this daily bullying issue personally
My Response:
Yes most of these kids are VERY GOOD at bullying in the name of a game. CAL is scared...... he is scared because the last time he had an issue he lost all of his friends and had to deal with harassing texts and phone calls for a couple days. The other day on the way to Tech Ed. this child accidentally pushed him into MM. Then hoodlum number two said that CAL must be gay because he didn't "enjoy" it.CAL is at his wits end and frankly so are we.
Are these teachers and counselors that out to lunch that they don't understand how this entire thing went down. In the name of the game certain child "accidentally" runs into CAL (and it must have been hard for CAL to report it) and then gives a "sorrrryyyy", and CAL is suppose to be OK with that.
