I had to explain this to my son last night and I thought there might be others out there that would benefit from my wealth of knowledge.
Freedom of Speech does not mean freedom from consequence. You are allowed to say what you wish without fear of being arrested. It does not mean that there will not be consequences that come from your words.
You can be fired from a job for what you say. That is NOT violating your Freedom of Speech. Words are like a tube of toothpaste, once you squeeze that tube and the paste comes out there is no way to put it back.
