This will make you laugh out loud with ANGER

Two students have been arrested for the same BULLSHIT that the clowns in CA did. They however made the mistake of having the dummy hanging by his neck be Obama instead of Palin.

It is not be considered "ART" or a part of a Halloween display, and the boys were not politely asked to remove the dummy. They were arrested.

Read it for yourself. They actually arrested them for a bunch of drummed up charges but the fact remains that the only difference is it was Obama instead of Palin.

Breaking my promise

I am sorry Honey, but I cannot keep my promise of not blogging about the ridiculousness of Obama.

This morning I open my Fox News to Find the following headline:

Obama Lays Plans to Kill Expectations After Election Victory

What? I don't understand.

I read the article it linked to and basically what it is saying is this:

Obama cannot live up to all the hype he has created for himself and now he is hiring someone to help him LOWER voter expectations.

Wow isn't that just great. Look at the honesty that Obama is displaying. He realizes that he has oversold himself, he is so pompous that he thinks he has already won. He is trying to back out of the campaign before it is even over. It took years for Senior Bush to break his promise of "Read my Lips.... No new taxes".

Barack Obama's senior advisers have drawn up plans to lower expectations for his presidency if he wins next week's election, amid concerns that many of his euphoric supporters are harboring unrealistic hopes of what he can achieve.

The sudden financial crisis and the prospect of a deep and painful recession have increased the urgency inside the Obama team to bring people down to earth, after a campaign in which his soaring rhetoric and promises of "hope" and "change" are now confronted with the reality of a stricken economy.

One senior adviser told The Times that the first few weeks of the transition, immediately after the election, were critical, "so there's not a vast mood swing from exhilaration and euphoria to despair."

The aide said that Obama himself was the first to realize that expectations risked being inflated.

If McCain has made any mistakes in this campaign it was trying to run a "clean campaign" for too long. He should have been bringing these matters to the voters attention LONG before now. He tried the high road and unfortunately in politics you can't do that. People claim that is what they want but frankly this election proves otherwise.

Now there are new questions about how Obama attended Harvard. I am upset with myself on this matter. I asked my husband this question months ago. You don't go to Harvard with just good grades and hard work. What part time job pays 35K.

When CNN and the other major news networks run this story I will link to it on their sites also. Don't hold your breath.

Huge Project!

I am in the middle of a huge project that has been "restarted" twice because The Hubby goofed. We decided to start selling hundreds of our CD's. I am burning them on itunes and then selling the physical CD on eBay. We have sold about a hundred dollars worth all ready. The bad part is TWICE (count it now) twice my husband tried to back-up or something only known to him and deleted all my work. Twice I have had to start from scratch. We now have an understanding, Don't touch it!

I really do need to back up this huge file and have been racking my brain as to the best way to go about that. Now I think I have found the answer. I found The Kanguru Solutions 64GB flash drive, on the Kanguru Solutions Website.. This little gizmo has the largest capacity flash drive available on the market, I need something huge because I have over 7,000 songs burned. It is quite affordable, but honestly if you are reading my blog this would make a great stocking stuffer for me. I say stocking suffer because it is the size of a pack of gum. If you were to leave this under the tree for me it might get lost with all the other presents that Santa will be leaving me, because we all know what a good girl I have been this year.

Kanguru Solutions not only manufactures this flash drive in a rugged aluminum hosing, it manufactures ultra secure flash drive, 64GB Kanguru Flash Blu, portable hard drives, MP3 Players, DVD, HD, and USB Duplicators, USB Security and more.

Hot Christmas Item

My mom was able to snag a very hot Christmas item for The Hubby this year. I am so excited. I know that come December this item will be going for at least a $100 over the price she paid. If I had any extra $$ laying around I would have her pick up a few more and try to earn a few bucks.

CAL gave me his Christmas list the other day and I must say that I am very proud of him. He would like the Wii Guitar Hero World Tour but it is about number five on his list.

His list looks like this:

New Cell Phone: He cannot decide between the Motorola Glide or the ENV2.
Long Board Skateboard
Wii Fit (I want him to have this more than he does but he put it on his list. I have not been able to continue his therapy for the Achilles tendon issue so this would be a great replacement for therapy.
Joystick and Flight Simulator
Wii Guitar Hero World Tour
Wii Dance Dance Revolution?

Of course with our current financial situation he might get the phone IF Verizon runs a free promotion before Christmas. Otherwise some skateboard clothes might be the extent of his Christmas. He already knows this and informed me that he would give this list to his grandmother so that he will get at least one of the things.

Hubby made a request.

Most of the time Hubby's requests are usually silly things that he just has a pet peeve regarding. They usually are so silly I often wonder "why the heck are we even talking about this."

This morning he made a request that I think I will honor...... He requested that I no longer blog anything negative about Barack Obama. It may sound silly to most of you but he is honestly afraid of the consequences of a negative posting. At first I thought "this is America, I can say "almost" anything that I want to say". Then I started thinking, he might have a point.

If BO wins the Presidency there are plenty of peope that will be on his "list" before me but the fact that he might have the "list" is downright frightening. I predect that Fox News will not make it through the four (heaven forbid - eight) years of his Presidency. Who knows what "person" BO will groom to take over after he has served his two terms. Who knows, he might even eliminate that restriction. He will have both the Congress and Senate under his control.

The control this "man" has exhibited so far is surreal.

The United States have become a cult. BO it's "leader" much in the same way as Jim Jones and David Koresh.

OK I have already broken my promise.

This is the last one.

It must be snowing down south!

I opened CNN this morning to find an article on their home page regarding Barack Obama. Now this is not an amazing thing. Most mornings I open CNN to see if they have declared him the official winner of the election and my President and savior. CNN is horrible for news on this election and rarely do I even look at their site anymore. They are no longer a NEWS station they are advertising for, The One.

This morning, however, is a little different and I am sure it must be snowing down south. When I say down south I don't mean Florida. I mean much further south than that.

The headline of the article read: Obama Breaks his Promise. What? How can that be. Yes ladies and gentlemen CNN actually published an article that is not very flatering to Mr. Obama. I hope they know what they are doing. The Obama campaign just might cancel all future advertising, and interviews with them.

The article goes on to say that when BO saw how much money he could raise, 600 million, without public financing he quickly changed his mind. Mr. Obama at the beginning of this campaign wanted to make sure both the Republicans and Democrats operated within the same limists. That is until he saw that his limits were endless, and he would have an advantage.

I took one look at this guy

and declared that he is innocent of all charges and/or accusations against him. I mean just looking at him you can tell he is not a murder, drug user, drug dealer, and abuser.

Look at the size of his nostrils. They became that way from........ Oh I don't know...... picking his nose. Oh wait.... he was born with those huge things.

The beady eyes.... They didn't come from years of drug use.

That smirk on his face just screams defiance...... but maybe I only see that because I am white and am obviously prejudice against him to begin with.

His previous record: Corrections records show that Balfour spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle, should NOT be held against him.

Just in case you didn't already know this is the murder suspect, William Balfour, in the Jennifer Hudson murder saga. He is accused of killing his 7-year-old step son, his MIL and BIL. I think I have that right. He was married to the sister of American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson.

OK one last thing: If this mother of the 7-year-old knew of his previous record and married and brought this man into her family..... she should be an accomplice.

Embarrassed

It appears that CAL is embarrassed of his mom and dad. I talked with him about it at length several days ago and it appears that weight is the main issue. I didn't even want to discuss the matter with The Hubby because according to CAL the main issue was his dad's belly.

He originally asked me to work in the school store. I said absolutely NOT! His father said "I will" and has face turned white. I knew something was wrong.

I know that I am heavy. It certainly would not hurt to lose a few pounds. The problem is...... I love food. I love to eat and working from home when you have no set lunch time, and you have access to food is endless, you tend to snack more. My problem is not during the day as much as it is nighttime. Downtime. My other problem is that I eat a dessert with every meal.

One way that we could get slim quick is to cut down on our portions and eat slower. We do good for a couple weeks and then we are right back to eating huge amounts of food.

I have always said that when my weight interferes with my everyday life I will lose weight. It doesn't interfere, I can play football, kickball, and whatever game the kids come up with. I know I am just using that as an excuse but it is a darn good one isn't it?

Bad Mom

Ok I will admit it..... I am probably a bad mom. I allowed my son and several friends to make baking soda vinegar bombs over the weekend. They had a blast. The neighbor next door watched carefully and shook his head every now and then.

They took vinegar and baking soda and mixed them in a water bottle. Shook it vigorously and then threw it. Most of the time it didn't go off the first try. The trick, as I see it, is to actually skim the bottle across the road. It gives and impressive **BANG**. Just in case you are interested it can been seen the following video. They had several successful attempts but this was the only one that I was able to capture on video.

Drive me to drink

I love my son but this kid is going to drive me to drink. He is so impulsive that it boggles my mind.

My husband is convinced (although he will never admit it) that anyone who drinks is an alcoholic. When he first met me I was fresh out of college and was quite the drinker. The day we moved in together was the last time I had a drink for close to 18 years.

Recently I have had an occasional drink here or there but nothing that he knows about. He doesn't read my site often, so I hope he doesn't today. My current drinking has been about once or twice a year for two or three years. Yeah big time drinker. But my son could change all of that.

I don't want to air too much of our dirty laundry and/or possibly ruin his chance a public office someday. I will just say that he is impulsive and leave it at that.

I would just like this to be notice for my loved ones that when I become the alcoholic my husband assumes that I will become, Promises Treatment Center is the substance abuse facility that I think would help me recover. They offer drug and alcohol rehabilitation, detoxification, sober living, and outpatient services.

Alcoholism and drug addiction are very serious diseases. I am most certainly not trying to make light of the situation. These diseases destroy lives and Promises Treatment Center can help you regain your life and your dignity.

Fooling ourselves

We as Americans are foolish if we think that this election is fair and not tampered with. This is the most fixed election in history. FIXED. There has been so much voter fraud on the Democratic side of the coin that it is amazing that Barry has not moved into the White House by now.

Each and everyday we read on the news sites (even on the Obama networks - see above about the election being fixed) about voter fraud and campaign fraud yet the Democrats are still allowed to carry on.

We are no better off than Iran (under SH), Iraq, and even Zimbabwe. Obama is now starting to punish the press that he feels doesn't agree with his socialist agenda.

Mark my words when Obama gets elected I am walking across the street to our stupid butt neighbor and demanding that she "distribute the wealth". I will be waiting for my check.

We WON!

Last week CAL came home and wanted me to enter a cookie bake-off at school. I didn't want to do it because I don't consider myself a "good baker". This was a student council activity and knowing how much he loves SC I could not turn him down. I told him up front that we didn't have a chance to win for a couple reasons but first and foremost was the fact that another student who is involved with SC has Martha Stewart for a mother. This lady is like the baking queen of Nashua.

She is a great person with a wonderful heart and I just knew that I didn't have a chance with her entering the contest. I gave CAL plenty of warning.

Rules of the contest were pretty simple. You could not submit anything with nuts or nut products, you had to save one cookie aside for the judges, and the rest of your batch would be sold.

I hate the no nuts thing. I have an awesome chocolate chip recipe but it is much better with nuts. I also make a mean no bake cookie, but it uses peanut butter. I didn't have much hope in this contest. I finally decided to make the pumpkin cookie (that I posted a few weeks ago) and the chocolate chip without nuts.

CAL was a huge help with the baking (not so much with the clean up)

Monday was the day of the contest, and CAL came home and said "everyone" loved my pumpkin and he was sure he was going to win. I again explained the Martha Stewart issue. He was not convinced and was so excited. I felt kinda bad because I knew that MS was going to make about five different kinds of cookies and they would be so awesome. She would win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes.

Friday around three I received my daily phone call from CAL. He said "Guess what I have?" I had no idea, I had totally forgotten about the contest. That was on Monday for crying out loud. He then preceded to play his little game. Bottom line (I won't bore you with the back and forth he did with me for about ten minutes) he won second place which was a $15 gift card to Dunkin Donuts. Now if you ask CAL, HE WON. That little brat will not give me an ounce of credit. But hey, he bought me Dunkin Donuts this morning after his basketball tryouts so really I don't care.

God...... I think you may have made a mistake

I cannot express how disappointed I am right now. I have a (we will call her a) friend that is disconnected from God/Religion. There was a PERFECT opportunity to restore faith, and God missed it. Is he too busy making sure that the prophesies of the bible come true. (Obama)

I have said this many times to my husband in the past year, but I feel like God has abandon us.

Now deep down inside I know that life doesn't work this way and that God has a much different perspective on life than we do. I know that I have to trust him and I know that he has NOT abandon us............Most importantly I know that God has NEVER, nor will he EVER, make a mistake. It just doesn't feel that way right now.

A special note to my "friend". I know now disappointed you are, please understand that some of us are even more disappointed than you can imagine. We saw an opportunity for you to come "home". I don't understand why God shut that door.

Falling apart!

I still don't feel 100% today. Actually I feel like this is going to get worse before it gets better. I have a commitment tomorrow night that I cannot miss so I hope it passes quickly.

Have you ever noticed that when you are not feeling well...... everything seems to go haywire. Lately I have been getting massive amounts of pimples in my hairline and on my head. What is going on. My face is not breaking out.

The temples seem to be the worse but down at the base of my neck is nasty also. You cannot see them, thank goodness. They are hiding about a quarter of an inch from where my hair begins and it travels about the same distance into my hair, except at the temples where it is about two to three inches in to my hair. I don't know if I should change shampoo, which I have been using the same brand for months, or if I should try top acne pills. I don't think my diet has changed that much.

I know this is all more information that any of you needed or wanted but..... I feel like I am falling apart.

You won't see this on CNN.

Military Times poll shows a landslide of support for McCain --
who captures 68 percent of the military vote to Obama's 23 percent.

This is the direction we are heading.

Did you read the story about the video game for the Playstation 3 that is being pulled off the shelf because it is offensive to Muslims. What is the HUGE offense. "One of the background music tracks that was licensed from a record label for use in the game contains two expressions that can be found in the Quran," They go on to say that an instrumental piece is a no-no for some strict Sunnis. Well if they are so strict that an instrumental piece of offensive would they really be playing a Playstation3?

Now I don't know if you know this or not but there are several things in games, music, and everyday life that are offensive to Christians..... but that's ok. We only have to worry about offending Muslims.

This is another time that I wish I could express myself like Rachel Lucas or Pamibe, but since I cannot I will just express my outrage.

This is becoming ridiculous. Why, when we talk tolerance are we always talking that Christians have to be tolerant of everyone else but there seems to be no need for tolerance in return. Why is the name Jesus Christ allowed to be dragged through the mud, but heaven forbid, if you name a teddy bear mohammad you shall die in prison.

WHY ARE WE SO DARNED WORRIED ABOUT OFFENDING MUSLIMS BUT COULD CARE LESS ABOUT OFFENDING THE RELIGION THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON. OK now you all can go find hundreds of web sites that say this country was NOT founded on Christianity and the basic principles of such. I can also point to hundreds of different web sites that say you are WRONG.

If I had a better memory.....

I would have known that my husband was going to track me via the PayPal card and I would have put a stop to it before I left the house. Now that I have blogged about it, my computer memory can help me avoid the situation in the future.

I don't know about you, but I don't like the feeling of someone tracking me. The Hubby claims that he was only catching up the register. Now he laid on that couch all day because he didn't feel good. Why did he, during that very short hour that we were gone, suddenly have to catch up the register.

If you ask him about the entire mess he will stick to his story and deny that he was tracking me. You should have seen the smug look on his face when he told me what time I was at the store and how much I spent. I think he was going to question me about why it took so long to make the purchase in Michael's (see I didn't buy anything at Five Below). But when I went ballistic on him he decided against it.

The sad part of this entire story is that he will do it again next time. It doesn't matter how upset I become about it, he will do it again. The only way to prevent this is to use my bank card. The problem with that is I never have money and when I do I certainly don't want to spend it on groceries.

That's my story and I'm sticking too it.

On Saturday CAL and I had to run a few errands. He needed some materials to do a school project. I didn't want to rush around in the morning so at about 3 pm, I made him get in the shower and we got ready to head to town. The Hubby was not feeling well, so he decided to stay home. When I left him he was upstairs on the coach lying down. Now this was three o'clock in the afternoon and neither of us had been on our computers all day. This must be distinctly understood, or nothing can come of this story.

In preparation for the excursion, The Hubby and I discussed how to pay for things. I had to make two stops, the craft store and the grocery store. We decided that I would use the PayPal card, I normally don't like to use that card. I like to use mine but I didn't have any money in my account. At the time I couldn't remember why I didn't want to use the PayPal card but it was a mute point anyway.

CAL and I headed to town. Our first stop was going to be Michael's but as we pulled in the parking lot we noticed a new store "Five Below" had opened in the same strip mall. I asked CAL if he would like to go take a look, he did, and we headed in that direction. The store was awesome. It was like a dollar store only everything was $5 or under. They actually had name brand merchandise. NOT JUNK like your normal dollar store. I was impressed and will be shopping there for Christmas later this week. CAL saw several things he really wanted but knew that we were short on cash. We wandered around the store for a few and then headed to Michael's.

Michael's was a home run. We bought all the supplies for his project for $3.00. I thought for sure it was going to cost me about $10.00.

Our last stop was Market Basket for some baking supplies. CAL wanted to enter a cookie bake off at school, so I had to make some cookies. I had a list and we didn't purchase anything that was not on the list so we were in and out very quickly. I don't think that we were gone from home more than an hour.

On the way home CAL and I decided that we would try to trick The Hubby into thinking the crafts for his project were really expensive.

I walk through the garage door going into the house and notice The Hubby downstairs in the office on his computer. I said "you are not going to believe how expensive the supplies for his project were" he stated "I already know that you paid $3.00 and you were at the store at (insert time)." I looked at him and just blinked. He had such a smug look on his face and then like a light bulb I remember why I HATE to use the PayPal card. He tracks me. He does it every time I use that card. He knows exactly what time I have purchased something and how much I spent.

I became quite upset at this point. I don't like the feeling of having a GPS up my butt. I was actually more than upset because this is NOT the first time that this has happened. I was yelling at him, he couldn't understand why in the world I was so upset. He came down
stairs and started tracking us the moment we left the house. Of course according to him, that was not the case at all. BULL......

Reminder

I need to blog about the hidden GPS in my butt. Right now I just am too darn tired to do anything.

Pop UP

is anyone else seeing that annoying pop up on my site.

Story that prompted my crazy plurk

After 30-Year Friendship, Two Women Shocked to Learn They Are Sisters

Two British women who have known each other 30 years were stunned to discover they are sisters.

Deborah Day was adopted when she was two months old — separating her from big sister Marilyn Morris.

They met again as teenagers working in a supermarket and became friends — but had no idea they were related.

They lost touch again but the truth finally came to light when their oldest sister Sally Griffiths launched a search for her lost family.

At a reunion Deborah, 44, and Marilyn, 45, were shocked to discover they were more than friends.

They live within a mile of each other in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, and even send their children to the same school.

“When we worked together we realized we were similar,” Day said. “But I never imagined Marilyn was my sister. We’ve got years of catching up to do and we’re enjoying every minute.”

Marilyn added: “Debbie and I look so alike. It’s wonderful because we have such a great family now. All our children are friends.”

They NEVER saw it coming?

You really have to wonder what types of idiots are in charge of this country.

Hawaii is dropping the only state universal child health care program just seven months after it launched. Why? Because people who were able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free. Remind me again - where was NObama born - according to "the records".

I cannot believe that the powers to be didn't see that happening and put some safeguards in there to prevent it.

This is the same type of "entitlement" thinking that NObama preaches that will have this entire country in this situation in a few short months.

People have this misguided impression that they government needs to take care of us. They need to get "their fair share". With our "leaders" preaching this crap who can blame them.

Another "Honor Killing"

A woman in India chopped off the head of a man who attacked her. She will be charged with murder, of course, because she is not a man. A man is "allowed" to kill his female family members to save his honor. This woman saved her own honor but I guess it is not the same thing in their eyes.

A women told police that the man had been harassing and stalking her for three months. Then he attacked her while she was working in a field. She used the sickle to behead him. Then she did, only what she has been taught by her male peers, she walked his severed head through the village.

"In a bid to save her dignity (or honor) she beheaded him." What is wrong with that?

Making the video

I had a lot of fun making the video for the pearl review the other day. The Hubby and I argued back and forth about which scenario would be funnier. I wanted to get really bad gifts and then be ecstatic about the pearls, hubby wanted people to see the real me (ungrateful and difficult) and go with a ton of nice gifts but they just didn't make me happy.

If you watched the video you will see who won.

I wrapped all the gifts and hubby was the camera man. We did the video on one take and I think it turned out quite well for my FIRST EVER video.

I was very upset about one thing, and I begged The Hubby to redo the entire video. I look HUGE. I know that all overweight people think that about themselves but really I look like a barge in that video. It does not help that I am sitting on the bean bag, kinda slouched down. I wonder what product is the best fat burner, because I definitely have to invest in some of that.

In the end The Hubby won all around, except he is still married to a barge.

Crazy Betty is out of jail.

Betty Neumar is 76 and she has just been released from jail after posting a $300K bond.

Crazy Betty is the grandmother who just cannot stop "allegedly" killing her husbands. Betty has been married five times and all five men are now dead.

I think it is wrong for someone under suspicion of murder to be allowed out on bail. Law enforcement has told Al Gentry, the brother of one of her victims, to be careful because he was instrumental in her arrest.

That makes sense to me...... The police think that she might try to kill someone else so a judge lets her post bond.

No one can figure out where Crazy Betty got the $300K because she filed for bankruptcy in 2000.

I blogged about Betty before and had a very angry visitor to my site. They were 100% correct and I updated my posting so that I didn't look like such an idiot.

I reached my Goal

I wanted to earn $25.00 on Listasaurus this month and I reached my goal. It is a lot of work for $25.00 but at least I earn some money for the time I waste on the computer.

I have listed hundreds of CD's, books, and VHS movies. If I could get myself to put seven items on each and every day I would be able to earn the $50 max per month. I could use that extra income.

We have sold over $200 worth of "junk" this month. This is good and comes in real handy because CAL has decided he wants to play basketball this year so I have to go buy new sneakers.

Did I also mention that I received my second gift card for Olive Garden and the three of us had dinner for $2.03. Thank you My Points. I love the my points program. If you are interested let me know and I will add you as a friend. I think we both get bonus points

New Widgets

You might notice my new widget in the side bar. I signed up several weeks ago for the program so that I could get an Amazon books widget and then I didn't feel like learning how to use it.

Today I felt very motivated and started playing with it. As you can see it is not a book widget but a Christian music widget. I get sidetracked very easily. I used the template that said it was the hottest new music. After it was installed I noticed that the very first song is several years old. I guess that they think that there is no NEW Christian music out there.

I might put a couple different ones in my side bar over the next few days. I think I am plurked out, and I might be removing that one.

Things like this upset me!

A medic for the Arizona Department of Public Safety was killed after he was struck by the blade of a rescue helicopter.

The helicopter was called to rescue two stranded hikers, who were later flown to safety.

So in-other-words. This poor man is dead because two idiots had to go hiking and bit off more than they could chew.

I hope they feel responsible for this mans death...... because they are!

I don't think we should rescue people who put their lives in danger for a thrill.

How is your day going?

I hope yours is better than mine. I have had a day of dealing with difficult people to say the least.

First thing this morning, I had a best offer on eBay. It was for a $4.50 part and the "customer" made me a best offer for $2.50. Now hold on your hat because it was for one piece. I told them that I don't offer discounts for orders under $25, and they became VERY upset with me. They were giving me a hard time for a $2.50 order. Then they wanted a shipping discount on top of that.

This afternoon we found out that we will not be getting an order that a customer has been driving us CRAZY about. I think I have answered ten to fifteen questions and have even had to call my vendor to answer his questions. Now he refuses to answer our question of "Where is our order?"

Then just because someone didn't think I had had enough, I have a customer upset because we had a listing on eBay and sold the parts. This guy wanted to buy them but didn't get them in time. He wants to still buy them. I tried to explain that I no longer had these parts and they came in a "deal" and would not be able to get more. He just cannot understand and thinks that I am being unfair because I quoted him a higher price than the ones that I listed on eBay a few days ago.

Oh and I almost forget the guy who wants to buy a part. Now this part comes in two different packages. I have the package that we call a DIP. He wants this part but in a Surface Mount package. I don't have the surface mount. He cannot understand this and keeps referring to the DIP package and states "I want this part only in a surface mount package". I CANNOT make him understand that "Yes I have the part but NOT in the other package".

I need to take a vacation. A very long vacation where I can just sit and relax with an adult beverage by a pool. That sounds like vegas to me. I guess I would have to leave the hubby and son home. I think I can handle that. Anyone else want to go?

Could George's guilty conscience be working overtime?

According to to CNN George Anthony was/is preparing to testify against his own daughter Casey Anthony in the case of his missing granddaughter Caylee Anthony.

I have posted about this topic so many times. I have also posted that I think Cindy Anthony is much more involved than she appears. It is my personal opinion that Cindy has covered up and destroyed evidence in this case and she should be in a prison cell next to Casey. That is in my perfect world. Unfortunately neither Cindy nor Casey is currently in jail.

Maybe George can change that. I hope that man comes forword and does the right thing. He should after all these months.

Just in case you need something to smile about on this Tuesday!

I have to wonder........ If you still have analog TV would you really have access to the world wide web?

Honor Killing?

Two teenage girls were murdered (allegedly by their father) over a year ago in Texas. The FBI is now saying for the first time that it "may have been" an honor killing. I am glad to see that the FBI is now bowing down to these terrorists. Why in the world are they so afraid to call this an honor killing? Why are we, as Americans, so afraid to offend. These people are even terrorists to their own families.

The girls' great aunt has called them "honor killings" from the beginning. She says the father (who is still at large) killed them because they disgraced him by dating non-Muslims and they acted too Western. Now it should be noted that if the father was in his "own country" this would be acceptable because many countries still have laws that protect men who murder FEMALE relatives they believe have acted inappropriately.

In Egypt, a father paraded his daughter's severed head through the streets shouting "I avenged my honour".

The US is taking "tolerance" to a whole new level. I wonder when the time will come that American Females will have to be afraid for their lives? I wonder if there will be a time when laws will be bases on your original country of origin?

Too Fat to Die?

Richard Cooey, the inmate who is arguing that he is too fat to die is schedule to be executed today. Cooey is 267 pounds and he say his obesity would prevent humane lethal injection because viable veins in his arms are hard to find.

He is convicted of killing two college students in 1986. While this case is nonsense, it does bring up the question of prisoner treatment. How in the world do you gain 75 pounds in prison? I thought they food was horrible and they "practically" starved people to death. That is what other inmates have claimed.

Mr. Cooey is very concerned that his death might be agonizing and painful. He wants to be able to chose his prefered method of lethal injection. They are also claiming that his migraine medicine coud reduce the effect of anesthetic.

There are so many ways to make Mr. Cooey comfortable with his excution. 1. Put him on a very strict diet so he can lose the weight necessary. 2. Put Mr. Cooey on a work detail, cleaning tiolets in the prison so that he can get the exercise he needs. 3. Take away his migraine medicine and let him live with his headaches - like the rest of uninsured American's who don't kill people must do.

Cooey is a perfect example of what is wrong with our prison systems. He has been living high on the hog for so long he actually thinks he is entitled.

Christmas Shopping for my Mom is done!

My mom loves jewelry. She has more rings than she has fingers and toes. I cannot even guess how many necklaces she has. She has diamonds and emeralds, the only thing she doesn't have is pearls. This year, more than anything, I wanted to be able to give my mom her very first set of pearls. I had a hard time deciding whether I should get her a set of earrings, a bracelet, or a necklace. In the end the necklace won my heart. I chose the multi-colored freshwater pearls.

Below is a video that I made with the help of my family. This is how I think my mom would react to receiving the pearls as her gift. Now everyone that has ever seen my mom and I together comment on how much we look alike. So I hope I played her part perfectly. Honestly, I think I showed a little more enthusiasm over the first four gifts than she would have, but I don't think I could ever capture her enthusiasm over getting a gift as wonderful as these pearls.

Is this a handsome kid or what.

There is no doubt why we have girls hanging around our house all the time.

Question?

Can anyone tell me if, in past elections, the Presidential candidate has had a Muslim outreach adviser?

OK hear me out.

Or rather hear James Dobson out. Please take a few minutes to listen to Mr. Dobson talk about John McCain and Barack Obama. I know that many of my readers are anti-religion or just don't buy into the religious hype but....... This is a broadcast that you must listen to. Mr. Dobson talks about Obama's voting record, lack of experience, and Obama's morals or lack thereof.

Silicone Hepatitis Crunch

I love these NewsBusted Videos

The Hubby did it again

He wrote a letter to the editor of the local Democratic RAG newspaper that we have on our town. I honestly didn't want him to sign his name - not because I don't believe what he is saying. I believe it 100%. I didn't want him to sign his name because I knew that the only people who read that rag are Democratic morons that just refuse to admit that Hussein is not the man to run the country.

The comments he has received, so far, are proof. I particularly enjoyed the one that states Hussein is on a mission from God himself.

Tell me.......

If it is acceptable to call George Bush - "W", then why is it so UNACCEPTABLE to call Barack Obama - Barack Hussein Obama.

I have heard that to refer to Barack as - Barack Hussein Obama is an attempt to add doubt to his good name.

The Associated Press - which is the same organization that claimed Sarah Palin was a racist because he dare question Hussein's connection with Bill Ayers - is once again "reporting" that to use BO middle name is demeaning.

The Associated Press should be ashamed of itself. They are suppose to be reported the FACTS to the people. Not covering them up.

I shall from this time forward refer to George Bush as W - and refer to Barack Obama as Hussein.

Believe me when I say that it is difficult to refer to Hussein in any way that is flattering. His name stinks, his initials stink, but that is only because he stinks. He stinks with scandal.

A 14-year-old boy was found with a fish in his pee pee

I am not even going to bother re-writing this story. It is so unbelievable I don't want you to think I messed something up.

FISH swam the wrong way when it leapt upstream into a boy's PENIS and ended up in his BLADDER.

The 2cm daredevil caused all kinds of medical problems when it swam through the teenager's urethra.

The unfortunate lad was taken to hospital with complaints of pain, dribbling urine and acute urinary retention.

He claimed the fish slipped into his penis while he was cleaning his aquarium at home in India.

Professor Vezhaventhan and Professor Jeyaraman, who treated the boy and later wrote a paper on the case, said: "While he was cleaning the fish tank in his house, he was holding a fish in his hand and went to the toilet for passing urine.

"When he was passing urine, the fish slipped from his hand and entered his URETHRA and then he developed all these symptoms."

After finding the fish in the boy's BLADDER, the medics insert a special set of forceps down the patient's penis in a technique known as cystourethroscopy.

But the fish was too slippery, so the professors used a rigid ureteroscope with a tool attached – normally used for removing bladder stones.

The fish, which is thought to be a small member of the Betta genus, measured 2cm long and 1.5cm wide.

The patient was later offered counseling.

Really do you think this lad needs counseling? If you believe his story then I have a business deal that I would like to discuss with you.

Why in the world would he have been holding this fish in his hand while he went pee. This little pervert purposely stuck that fish up his willy. He probably liked the feeling of the fish nibbling.

Casey Anthony MIGHT be charged with Murder

as early as next week. Her lawyer said she is prepared for the worst. She should be! I have never seen such a heartless, worthless person in my life. Let's assume for one second that she didn't kill Caylee (which she are all pretty sure she did) she should be going nuts trying to find that little girl. If my daughter was missing I would not let a stinking ankle bracelet prevent me from doing everything I could to find her.

I certainly would not be hiding in my room, or fighting with protesters at midnight outside my house. This case is a three-ring circus and it is about time that someone had a little respect for Caylee and stopped it. The only way to stop it is to have Casey in jail. The protesters will go away and that neighborhood can go back to normal.

I honestly believe that the protesters are a huge part of the problem. They should be arrested and taken away.

I have finally made the switch

If you have been reading my blog for long you know that I regularly link to articles on CNN. In the past I had CNN Headline News as my home page and would scan it several times a day.

NO MORE! Yesterday I had enough and have switched to FoxNews.com. I know that the traffic that CNN brought to my site will be sadly missed, but I have to take a stand against CNN and their basis reporting of the election.

Since I have been on Fox I have learned some very interesting things about Obama and his campaign. NEWS that would have NEVER been reported on the Obama network CNN.

If you want to talk campaign reform the best place to start is with the media. NO media outlet should be allowed to back a candidate. They should be supplying the readers with FACTS, not opinions.

Fox News has given me both. They have articles against the McCain campaign and the Obama campaign. So far it does not appear to be one sided. The other thing that doesn't appear to be one sided is this election. Contrary to what CNN wants you to believe, Obama has not won this thing, YET!

Kids being used....

This video is very disturbing and again shows the cult like status that surrounds Obama and his worshipers.

Unfortunately I cannot get the video to embed here so go take a look.

A teacher produced this video and was suspended. I think they should have been FIRED! But then again most teachers are Democrats.

Casey's Not Happy.

Boo Hoo. Casey Anthony wants a judge to let her leave her house. Of course, she only wants to leave to look for Caylee and attend the Hot Body Night at the local whore house. But really judge, she will only go out for those two reasons.

Believe it or not.....

Kory McFarren has won the lottery for the second time this year, to the tune of $20K. You might remember Kory as the man who received six months probation after pleading no contest to misdemeanor mistreatment of a dependent adult.

What was his crime. He allowed his girlfriend to remain on the toilet long enough that she became physically stuck to the seat. That's right authorities believe that Pam Babcock sat on the toilet for over a month and the seat grew around her arse.

She is starting to grow on me!

I have refrained from blogging about Sarah Palin because I just wasn't sure how to feel. The more I hear her talk the more I like. I think the interview with "KC"was edited to make her look stupid. She is anything but stupid. She is the straight talker. I am sick with worry that the US might elect Barack Obama.

Looking for a Shopping Cart?

I have lamented often, on my site, about my online store for my business. We have a site that has a shopping cart and all of the items that we have in stock, our customers, are able to purchase directly from our site.

We have had the site for several months and it just isn't do as well as we had expected and hoped.

Because of the poor performance I am constantly trying to determine the cause. Are my prices too high? Is the shopping cart software advertising the product in an attractive way? I seem to be getting traffic just not the orders.

I have been shopping around looking for online store software and I found a site that is more expensive than what I am currently using but it might pay for itself with added features. I took a look at a few of their sample sites and they are definitely more attractive then my site.

I was very impressed with their features and their overall package. They offer a complete web site and shopping cart software including hosting. We are able to manage multiple storefronts in one convenient location, and they offer our customers a one page checkout process.

Americommerce has many different plans to best suit our needs. Each plan offers a free easy setup wizard, templates, and tech support.

If you are in the market for shopping card software Americommerce has an affordable package with many features that you must see to believe.

One thing that I will miss

with the screenhouse down is my backyard. I love to watch the squirrels play and chase each other. I wish I was like Dr. Dolittle and could hear them talk. They don't appear "angry" they are just knocking each other around pretty good.

The birds are another big attraction in the yard. We have a couple cardinals that are the brightest shade of red.

The only thing I won't miss is the skunk that loves to camp out under my bedroom window on those hot summer nights.

Please think happy thoughts

In the direction of:
  • Writersblock who is in the process of looking for a new job.
  • CAL who feels like no one likes him. I tried to tell him that when 8 kids show up on your door and spend 8 hours at your house, that they like you but he is eleven and can only concentrate on the negative. The part that breaks my heart is that he "feels" this way.
  • The Red Sox who play the Angels tonight. The lead the series 2-0 and if they win tonight they will advance and the Angels will be done for the season
  • My business. I have set a very aggressive goal for God this month and I only hope that he can met his sales requirements.
  • The Patriots who also play today. I hope they can come back and be a contender just like they did when Brady took over for Bledsoe.
  • That the huge zit I have on the side of my nose will clear up with the help of acne treatment, of course.
OK that about does it for the good thoughts. If I think of anymore I will add them. If you have any "requests", add them to the comments.

Box Tops for Education

Do you save your Box Tops for Education? I have a faithful reader that supplies CAL with her tops on a regular basis. I recently had CAL take a bag full into his teacher. She was very impressed and she made a big deal about how many he brought in.

The other day another 25 box tops arrived in the mail. If you don't save the box tops I hope that you would consider doing so in the future. If you don't have anyone to give them too you can consider CAL or you can even send them to your local school. They are a great way for the schools to earn money.

I take a Ziploc bag and place a magnet inside and attach it to the front of my refrigerator. That reminds me to clip the box tops and it is a very convenient place to store them.

Another Beautiful Day

I am not nearly as productive today as I was yesterday. Maybe it is because I don't have ten kids here "encouraging" me.

I was able to get the office carpet steam cleaned and then I went over a few areas in the garage where someone dumped a full soda and another area where they spilled an iced coffee. I don't know who brought that, but in the process of "sharing" it ended up on the rug. That reminds me I will have to talk to CAL about that sharing business.

After the task of the carpets I came up stairs and started listing books, CD's and other items on eBay. Tis the season to sell, sell, sell.

Oh and I almost forgot I also put a car cover on the Bentley behind the shed. Shhhh don't tell anyone it is there they might take it away.

I have to make a movie

I still have to make that movie for a paid review. I WILL not be doing it today, I hope they don't get upset that I am so late with it. I just cannot seem to get my brain working. In a few minutes I am going to put a movie in the TV and crash for the rest of the day.

Fairly Productive Saturday.

The past two weekends it has rained and I have used that as my excuse to be lazy. This weekend was the picture perfect fall weekend and I didn't have any excuses.

Saturday we decided it was time to get the screen house down. Actually, all we do it take the roof off, take down decorations on the inside and take care of the furniture. We decided to put the furniture in the garage and let CAL have that as his "hang out room" - the garage is heated. But I thought that would be for Sunday because I didn't want to take on the task of the garage.

In the middle of taking the roof off the screehouse it disintegrated. We knew it was about to happen. Honestly we didn't think we would have gotten this many years use out of it. I love our screehouse and we will have to invest in a new roof for next year.

Then came the task of making room the garage for the furniture. While doing that little task a boat load of kids showed up. They wanted to help. I thought while they were in the helping mood I might as well take advantage. I decided to do it right and remove "everything" and steam clean the carpets. I had the kids vacuuming and moving things out while I went to get the carpet cleaner ready.

This is what they did with the couch while I was steam cleaning the carpets. They took turns and each kid was lifted, by his friends, in the air. No one got dropped that was the good thing.

The girls decided how the furniture was to be put back in the room and the boys did all the moving. Then they decided that the tables needed some bowls full of chips and "things to eat". After they downed a bag of pretzels and chips they thought pizza sounded good. Six pizzas later everyone was fat, dumb, and happy as the hubby would say. Frankly I was surprised that they didn't ask us to provide the diet pills, since they all ate so much.

During our decorating phase we put a radio and "disco" light in there. It was funny because around 8 p.m. we went down and the lights and music were off. The girls were curled up on the couch and they all acted like they were spending the night. The girls even asked for a blanket. They said the music was too loud and they just wanted to talk.

So we were able to get much more accomplished on the garage than I thought we would and the screehouse is down for another season. For us that is a full days work.

Here is a picture of hubby getting in on the couch lifting act. That was the highest they were able to lift him.

I don't know why but this posting took me forever to write. I just couldn't get a good "flow" going. I am sorry if it was painful to read. I think I am just really tired.

My husband didn't appreciate

being woke up at 2 a.m. to be told "The Red Sox won and OJ is guilty, it is going to be a great day". Then this morning at 7:30 we woke up for real to a little business stress, of course it was all my fault. After arguing for a few minutes I simple said "Hey OJ is guilty and the Red Sox won so I really don't care what happens, it is a GREAT day."

They finally find him guilty of something.

OJ Simpson has been found guilty of all 12 counts for armed robbery and kidnapping. I guess he didn't have the race card on his side this time, and no fancy lawyers with catchy sayings.

Actually I am very surprised that the trial and verdict took so long. To me the evidence seemed pretty strong. I think the extra time was spent on making sure they were not convicting him of Nicole's murder.

OJ was guilty 13 years ago and he is guilty now. It will be interesting to see if he actually spends any time in jail. He will have years of appeals ahead of him and will probably be free during most of that time to terrorize, rob, and kidnap more people.

OJ thought he could do just about anything he wanted. I mean he walked away from a murder where the evidence against him was overwhelming.

UPDATE: The Hubby just told me that he will NOT be free during his appeals. I hope he knows what he is talking about.

Woman shoots herself over mortgage.

This story is quite amazing and very sad. A 90-year-old women shot herself when the sheriff's deputies tried to evict her from her home.

The outrageous part of this story is that this lady obtained the mortgage in 2004. Yes you read that right, they gave a 86-year-old lady a 30 year mortgage.

Since she shot herself the mortgage company has decided to forgive the outstanding balance. OK can you wait a moment while I go get a gun and shot myself (non-fatally of course) so that I can get the bank to forgive my debt and sign the property "outright" to me.

Boy I hope the lady lives to take advantage of such a sweet deal.

If the lady had lived in the house for the past 70 years then I think I would be my sympathetic, but give me a break. What kind of bank gives a 30 year mortgage to an 86 year old lady, and how in the world did that lady think she was ever going to be able to make those payments. She didn't have the house for long so I think she fell behind quite quickly.

It is very sad when people feel so desperate in these situations. I don't understand what the bank was gaining in trying to evict her. She is 90 for crying-out-loud. This is the type of case where you find a hard time understanding anyone's side.

If there is a bad mom adward,

I am sure that I would win.

Sometimes you just don't realize what effect an incident is having on your child for several days.

The other day CAL sat at the "cool kids" table at school. One of the kids that he considers his good friend came up to him and said "your sitting in my seat, please move". He said no and then all the kids around him got upset and so he finally moved. When he came home and told me I became very upset. The girl involved is someone that was at our house almost daily over the summer. I spoke to her about the situation and let her know that I didn't like what happened. She is aware that CAL has social issues. In-other-words I blew the situation way out of whack.

I said things to CAL like "don't let them be mean to you", and "I don't understand why they are so mean". Basically I made CAL feel like his friends don't like him. I obviously didn't realize the effect at the time.

Today CAL came home and is refusing to invite friends over for "night games" because no one likes him. I just found out that he has sat by himself at lunch for the past few days. He is rejecting the kids before they reject him. It is so heart breaking that the entire summers work is down the drain. He is now back to the same old withdrawn child.

Pay Per Click

One of the many forms of advertisement for our company is an online marketing Program. We set this up several years ago, but it might be time to take another look at the performance of the program. What we did (against the advice of the professionals) was to list our part numbers as the key words. We did this for two reasons: one we wanted only serious buyers and two the general terms in our business don't really gain business.

For example, several of our parts are manufactured by Hitachi. Well as you know, Hitachi also makes TV's, VCR, and other electronics. Someone searching for the term Hitachi probably will NOT be looking for semiconductors but for consumer electronics. Even the term semiconductor is too broad. In our industry you must be precise. This is very difficult to explain to the experts. Which is why I have not taken their advice. I don't want to be paying $.10 per click so someone looking for a semiconductor because that could be about 2 million different things.

The Pay Per Click program that I have is very similar to the program offered at Network Solutions. It is the fastest and cheapest way to get more sales. Not just leads but actual sales. Network Solutions offer custom pricing plans and they have the experts to help you get the most out of your clicks.

What we did was add our keywords, or in our case the actual part numbers of the semiconductors, and then set a bid amount. There are certain parts that are more valuable or hard-to-find in which case we might pay more per click than a common part. Then we sit back and wait for the search engines to display our ad (which we frequently change) on their sites.

How the program works is when a potential customer types in your keyword on a search engine, your ad will appear in a special section on the page. The potential customer will click your ad and be transferred directly to your site. Then it is up to you to get the sale. You will only be charged when your ad is clicked.

Trying to Conserve

It amazes me the way that we have tried to conserve money.

A week or two ago I went to look at the electric meter (to see how fast it was spinning.) It went about a full turn in 31 seconds. I went into the house and started unplugging everything that wasn't necessary. You would be amazed at how many things have clocks. Then I unloaded the freezer in the garage into the refrigerator freezer and turned it off. Just to drive my husband crazy I also unplugged all (but two) night lights in the house. You might remember that my husband has to have a nightlight in EVERY room. Our house is never dark, EVER. He is learning to adjust.

When I went back out and counted, we were down to 41 seconds a spin. Yeah I slowed it down.

We have also talked about the fact that the candles in the window and CAL's Christmas tree might have to remain unlit this year.

One area that we have not been as good with lately is the TV. We have been watching movies again and I have been fighting against the devil. I made the rule (because everyone is so good at following my rules) that there is no TV Monday through Thursday. Last night the hubby was "exhausted" and just had to relax and watch TV.

Before this week, the TV was actually unplugged during the week but we had been watching quite a bit on the weekends. This is something I must discuss with hubby to pose a united front on. Not that easy when your 56 year old husband is worse than your eleven year old.

His parents must be so proud.

A 7-year-old boy broke into a display at a zoo in Australia and proceed to kill animals and feed them to a crocodile near by. He bashed several lizards to death and threw them into the crocs cage. One of the animals was a beloved 20-year-old goanna.

What a little angel. This kid is a serial killer in the making. Isn't that how Jeffery Dalmer started out, by killing animals.

No charges will be brought against the little basturd (not a misspelling) because of his age. Children under the age of 10 cannot be charge with criminal offenses in the Northern Territory. He just might be the reason they change that law.

In the end he killed 13 animals worth over $5,500. The article said that the parents would probably be sued but that was about all the recourse the zoo had.

I just received a letter from FRED.

Since he was my first choice I actually read most of the letter. He makes some good points as my confidence in Palin has taken a hit these past few days. Folks the bottom line is this. Does it really matter that she is not a "smooth talker". Obama claims "change" but isn't Palin the "change" that he promised his "followers". I don't know about you but I am tired of "smooth talkers" and Palins stumbling and bumbling is refreshing.

When John McCain selected Governor Sarah Palin, as his running mate, the Democrats and their far-left constituency let out a primal scream that could be heard from sea to shining sea. How dare he choose someone that they and their pals in the media had not had a chance to vet (i.e. libel, slander, and otherwise and otherwise eviscerate). Ah, but it was not too late. These seekers of “a new kind of politics” poured torrents of malicious abuse upon her and her family.

Plane loads of scandal mongers, lawyers and other truth seekers became more numerous in Alaska than the polar bear, as they rallied local Democrats and disgruntled Republicans to their cause.

Here was a woman who chose to have children and a career. Aging Washington socialites weighed in with newly discovered sensitivity for mothers with careers outside the home. Here was a woman who became upset because her ex-brother-in-law had tasered her nephew and threatened her father. The Democrats and their friends had to save the country from a woman like this.

Governor Palin’s every comment was scrutinized by the media and judged against what Jefferson or Lincoln might have said. Never mind that her counterpart, the 30-year-Washington-veteran Joe Biden, apparently is unaware that America relies upon coal for a lot of it’s electricity or that he recently referred to a top level U.S. official’s visit to Iran that never happened. That’s just Joe being Joe – protected by the sheer number of his gaffes and the fact that he is Barack Obama’s running mate.

For a while there it seems the fact that so many uninformed yahoos (average people) love her was going to drive the main stream media nuts. They had a hard time grasping the fact that people like her because she is precisely the kind of politician that everyone has been saying they’ve wanted: Independent, not a captive of the Beltway including a Congress with a 9% approval rating, who will take on hacks of either party; who has the tenacity to win and the courage to fight for the long-term benefit of those she represents.

Apparently what no one counted on was that a politician like this would actually show up on the national scene. The media was caught by surprise. The media doesn’t like surprises.

Naturally, there was a backlash to the treatment of Governor Palin and cooler-headed critics have largely concentrated on what they claim is her lack of qualifications. Of course much of the criticism of her qualifications reveals the application of the same old double standard. Less accomplished governors in times past have been considered to be perfectly “well-qualified” as VP picks.

However, it is a legitimate issue and should be taken seriously. I especially take seriously the criticism of people such as New York Times columnist David Brooks who I consider to be an insightful analyst of the political scene.

He recently wrote that governance is hard. It requires acquired skills. Most of all it requires prudence. What is prudence? Among other things, it is the ability to absorb information and discern the essential current of events – the things that go together and the things that will never go together. It is the ability to engage in complex deliberations and to understand which arguments have the most weight. How is prudence acquired? Through experience. Experience allows a leader to judge what is important and what is not. He added, “Sarah Palin has many virtues. If you wanted someone to destroy a corrupt establishment, she’d be your woman. But the constructive act of governance is another matter.”

One can hardly disagree with the desirability of our leaders having the qualities that Brooks describes (putting aside the question of how many of our leaders who are not Sarah Palin have demonstrated these qualities). But there are other important qualifications, such as will, courage, and determination. Frankly, an infusion of these qualities into our body politic is desperately needed – not just to raise hell with the establishment, but to speak the hard truth about unpleasant choices facing our country. To push for choices that will, in the long term, benefit our country, our children and our grandchildren. In other words, things which “prudent” leaders are all too often reluctant to do.

For many years we have failed to address looming problems that will prove catastrophic to our nation. It’s not because we are bereft of leaders with great experience. And it is not because they do not understand the “essential current of events.” They know these things all too well. It is because they do not have the political courage to do anything about it.

Recently, a Washington Post editorial pointed out that even before the recent financial crisis on Wall Street, the Government Accountability Office issued a report declaring the federal government on an “unsustainable long term fiscal path.” This was primarily due to the projected cost of Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, brought on by an aging population. We will be spending $41 trillion dollars more on these entitlements in the next 75 years than we will receive in payroll taxes and premiums, although the crunch will actually begin much sooner than that. And we already owe Japan and China about $500 billion each.

David Walker, the former Comptroller General of the United States calls this problem much larger than the recent financial rescue plan. In fact he calls it the “super sub-prime crisis.” Which bring me to the current sub-prime crisis.

Wall Street and Washington were full of people who were “qualified and experienced” in the field of finance. Sen. Barack Obama, for one, has a great deal of experience in the housing field. So do many of his closest advisers. I would have traded some of that experience for a few more leaders with less experience and more courage to buck the establishment and tell the truth about what was happening.

This brings me back to Governor Sarah Palin, and why I say that courage and political will are at the very top of the “qualification” requirements for today’s leaders. So the question is, how does Sarah Palin compare on that score with Biden and Obama, for that matter? Very well, I’d say.

The Telegraph

In my town we have a local newspaper. It is a "Democratic" RAG and we stopped getting the paper several years ago.

Today I pulled the paper up online and I must have typed the address in wrong because it took me to a verizon page asking me if I meant something different and giving me options. I clicked on the link closest to what I wanted and this is what came up.

I called my husband over and said "is that really a halo around his head?" The Hubby responded "it sure looks like it, where did you get that picture?" I said "The Telegraph". He just laughed and shook his head because it didn't surprise us that that RAG would publish such a picture.

Attention: Democrats (and The Telegraph employees) this "man" is not the Messiah. He has a pretty good chance of being the exact opposite. This picture is insulting and infuriating and I am so glad that I don't pay my hard earned money on your crappy paper.

Danny's Downs

When we became pregnant with CAL we had what NY calls the "triple markers" test. Basically they test for down's syndrome, spinal bifida, and other birth defects. They did not give us an option regarding this test. I was a first time parent and was told it was a test that everyone received. A few days later the doctor called us into her office to "break the news". The test came back VERY abnormal. They wanted to do an Aminocentis but basically she wanted to give us the results and talk about what should be "done". Basically, she was trying to talk us into an abortion.

This was my first child (and first pregnancy after a miscarriage). My husband and I fought back and forth. I wanted the "perfect" child and I didn't want a defect. My husband stated there was no way in "heck" that he would ever agree to an abortion. It took a few hours but we agreed that even if the amino came back with bad news there was no way we were going to abort.

The next day I went in for the amino. That night after arriving home my water broke (I was only a few months along). The amino tore the sack. It was no small task but I finally convinced the doctor that is what took place. She insisted that I just wet myself. I thank God that I took the shorts that I had on. That is only place that tested positive for fluids. My personal area did NOT. I was immediately admitted to the hospital and the horror show that was CAL pregnancy began.

During the time that it took the results to come back, I thought I was having a "retarded" baby. I cried myself to sleep every night. I was in the hospital - bedridden - for 17 or 18 days. Everyday they would do an ultrasound to see if the "sack" was increasing. The good thing was that I got to see my baby squirming around each day for that time. During that time I played a Peter, Paul, and Mary song over and over it is called Danny's Downs.

What is the reason for this post? Well, I hear these HORRIBLE people out there criticizing Sarah Palins' decision to bring Trig into the world. I literally tear up and shake with anger each time. I am a firm believer that you are BLESSED with a Down's Baby. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful that CAL was born happy and healthy and the horror story regarding his pregnancy didn't stop after those 18 days. But that is for another story. On more than one occasion we were told that CAL would be "retared". As a matter of fact there is a doctor in Loon Lake New York by the name of Elizabeth Buck that if I ever see that lady again, she better RUN!

Anyway, It may should selfish but those children will love you FOREVER. They will never stop, they won't get angry and stop talking to you for weeks, and basically they are the happiest children in the world. I would love it if CAL were that happy all the time. I watch him come from of school sad (and yesterday crying) because someone hurt his feelings. He was angry and didn't want to talk. It broke my heart. I am sure Down's kids get their feeling hurt but not like a "normal child". Have you ever heard of a down's kid committing sucide? They are happy.

The other day when we went apple picking there was a group of special needs kids there. Some where playing cards at the picinic table while others ate ice cream or played with the farm animals. I sat in awe. Every single child was having a great time. Laughing, shouting, and celebrating. One little girl got such a kick out of throwing away a napkin. I am not trying to down play their struggles but honetly what a life. God takes good care of them.

I have heard story after story from parents that had the guts to have their baby. I don't hear "I regret having this child". On the contary you always hear about how wonderful and happy they are. They love celebrating accomplishments that other parents take for granted.

Anyway that has taken on a life of its own. I just want to give you the lyrics to Danny's Downs. I looked for a video to go along but it is so old they didn't have anything. It is a great song and I encourage you to find PP&M version and listen.

Danny’s Downs

On the day little danny arrived
His father stared and his mother cried
They knew his name but they didn’t know why
He looked the way he did
This thing happens to other kids
How in the world are we gonna live
With a boy like that?

Doctor said,"dan’s the first bad news
Second is his heart won’t make it through
It must be fixed unless you choose
To send him back where he came
Starve the boy from his name
Just six short days of pain
Or maybe less"

Chorus:
Danny’s downs but love is up
It’s been known to be more than enough
For more and more of us
Danny’s downs but love is up

"i’m not that strong," his father said
"the dreams are gone, the hopes have fled
Won’t be long after he’s dead
We’ll try again to find
The child we had in mind
Where the hell are those papers to sign? "
And the man broke down

In a private room danny’s mother wept
As an old jamaican woman swept
And not by chance their eyes met
(and she said)
"god’s gifts are only good y’know
And there ain’t no love the lord can’t grow
Aw honey, take that boy with ya when ya go
Back home

(chorus)

It’s been eight years since the surgery
His sister’s 5, his brother’s 3
He goes to school and he knows how to read
He takes the bus home by himself
Puts his lunch pail back upon the shelf
And he hugs his momma till she melts
To the floor

They’re more than a home, they’re a family
’cause blood and bones are still souls y’see
And someone’s baby’s just another danny
And in the guest room in the back
Lives this old jamaican black
’cause when you give a gift
God gives it back again.
