Father Pfleger

has been watching too much TV. I don't have a 401K, inheritance, or a trust fund. I don't think many people (that I know do). He stated that many of us "white folks" are working in the same companies that our Daddy's and Granddaddy's did. Really? I only see that in the very "elite" on TV and not in my world.

The companies my Dad and Grandfather worked for don't even exist anymore and it was a hard labor factory. I am very thankful that I don't have to work there.

You cannot compare the "Elite" society to real society. It also makes me laugh that Obama is one of those "elite" that they keep talking against.



Here Father Pfleger acknowledges that his remarks will get "you" in trouble. We all assume "you " is Obama. Someone should also tell the father that he is white because I don't think he has a mirror.

Clinton should turn away voters

I recently heard someone (a political analyzer) state that Hillary should tell the people that are voting for her "because she is white", "no thank you." Meaning she should turn away those voters and not accept their vote. I AGREE. I think she should do that and in turn Obama should do the same thing. He should tell all the voters that are voting for him because he is black "no thank you" I think the race would be a different picture if this happened.

Our Wedding Rings

I love our wedding rings. We bought them in a small mall in Syracuse, New York right before we got married. They are gold and then have a band in the middle that has a yellow, blue, and red tint to the gold.

They are very unique. Recently I was surfing and came across a web site for Celtic jewelry, and there were my bands. I could hardly believe it. I thought about replacing mine but it wouldn't be the same.

Why would I want to replace my band? When I gained so much weight a few years back I had to take my ring to a jeweler and have in enlarged. Well as it turns out they are hollow (we didn't have a ton of money back then) which meant that the band broke when they were trying to enlarge it. Then it had to be sent out to be repaired. I thought for sure I would never see it again.

They didn't do to bad of a job but you can tell where they cracked the band. I have my ring back (which I had not worn in months) and I have not taken it off since then. Of course I have gained even more weight so I will probably have to repeat the process in a year or so. I could lose some weight but that would be the easy way out.

I am glad to see we have our priorities.

As gas climbs to $4+ a gallon, as millions of Americans are losing their houses, their jobs, and their lives, the US launches Discovery on a mission to fix a toilet. But hey they have to flush their current toilet manually, which is very time consuming.

But I guess it will be worth it because phone service, Internet, and other space provided services are going to be more reliable in the future. Granted if things keep going they way they are heading only the very rich will be able to afford such luxuries anyway.

I am not a fan of the space program. I think we have enough troubles right here on Earth that are much more pressing.

Cape Cod

My husband changes his background on his computer almost weekly. This week he has a picture of my son running in the waves in Cape Cod. I cannot tell you how much I miss The Cape.

In the past we have taken day trips, but it is hard (for us) to drive three hours home after spending a day in the sun and surf. We are not big drivers. As a matter of fact we have a Jeep Wrangler that is two years old and we only have 7500 miles. That is not much.

Anyway back to The Cape. We stay at a nice (for The Cape) hotel. This is not a hotel I would EVER stay at in a non-beach destination. They have a large indoor pool, it is close to the bike path, and we can walk to the beach. The problem is that it is expensive and not in our budget for anytime soon.

I thought about looking for other cheap hotels in the area but even a cheap hotel is out of our budget at this time.

Hopefully things will start to pick up around here and we will be able to get down there before the summer is over.

Hook, Hook, Hook, Hook

This is a shame. If you know Boston you have seen the James Hook & Co before. Actually you have probably smelled (or smelt I can never remember) the building before you saw it.

I feel so bad for the owner and the lobsters. They were only about 10 feet away from freedom and saved from death. This building literally sits on the water. The harbor flows under the building for about thirty to forty feet.

It is very close to the Boston Tea Party building which burned several years ago too.

When we travel to Boston (which has not been much recently) we love walking the water front and this landmark will surely be missed. I hope they rebuild.

Is that money that I see

I actually have a few pennies in my savings account. Yea. Go me. I owe it to this little blog. Who would have thought that I could actually save a few pennies with my opinions. Certainly not my husband.

Now for the important question? What do I spend it on? The responsible thing would be to pay some bills. Honestly thought it is really not that much money and I am sure all my bills are much larger than what I have saved. (Hey that's my story and I am sticking too it.) Yeah that is right what little I have saved really cannot be used towards bills, it is not enough. I will just keep repeating this to myself until I am convinced.

There is only one problem!

This child has NOT been diagnosed with ANYTHING.

I am very outraged with the story about the teacher who encouraged her students to vote a child out of the classroom. It is horrible and it should have never gotten to this stage.

What was the school doing to help this teacher with this "unruly" child? Did she have a classroom helper?

Now they are saying "a child with autism". That contradicts the original story. They stated this child had not been diagnosed but the mother was doing her best to get an autism tag.

Parents with truly autistic children should be outraged. Lack of discipline and lack of parenting are NOT autism. They have put so many children into this "category" that it is hard to determine who needs parenting and who needs help.

The teacher should be fired with no questions asked. The mother should take parenting classes and if the child is autistic he should be in a classroom with a helper. If the child is NOT autistic the Mother should be fired!

MVP Healthcare

I cannot tell you how much I love our current health insurance provider. I hope that I am not jinxing myself but honestly they are so much better than Blue Cross Blue Shield.

CAL has to have allergy shots once a week. When we were with BCBS they would charge us an office visit each time. The co-pay was $15.00 so every week I had to fork over $15 extra. The allergy shots are only $30. I thought this was so ridiculous. Then when he saw the doctor and received the shot on the same day it was a disaster. They would charge me two co-pays for the same visit. It would take me 6 months to clear the mess up and then it would start all over again.

Any for the privilege of this ongoing fight I had to pay them over $1K per month for the honor of their insurance.

MVP is so much better I hope that I never have to switch. A while back I remember WB talking about purchasing some weight equipment and that it was covered under her husbands health insurance. I really have to check that out because we bought CAL a new bike this year and it would be wonderful if that could be covered.

I know that MVP is only in New York and a few other northern states but if you ever have the opportunity to purchase their insurance it is highly recommended.

Once Again

I don't care who you are, you are judged by the company you keep.

Once again Barack Obama has associated himself with racists. He attends church after church that blame the white man for everything that has ever gone wrong in their lives. They are anti-white.

I think it is a little funny that Obama couldn't remember which relative liberated who or when but he can tell you about his great great great grand pappy the slave. When he was questioned about the mix up he said it was a long time ago. Isn't that funny that he can seem to remember even further back when he talks about slavery.

I hate to break the bad news to people but...... not all blacks were slaves and not all whites owned slaves.

Why is it when slavery is talked about people never seem to remember that it was all those nice white folks in the north that fought to give them their freedom. Those same white folks they they have lumped together as the enemy today.

The Catholic Church is at it again.

When will women realize that only pedophiles are allowed to be "priests" in this "so called Christian" religion.

I think the thing that makes me laugh most about the Catholic religion is this: They know they have pedophiles and they just resign them. They are still allowed to be "a part of the church". Heck in most cases they are allowed to "run" a church.

BUT don't you dare be divorced.... for that you are excommunicated. You may have s3x with children but don' t you dare get divorced. Catholics preach that you MUST attend MASS or you go to hell. Then they tell divorced people that they are NOT ALLOWED to attend.

So being a pedophile is OK, acceptable, and forgivable. Being divorced is NOT. Does that sound right to you.

I wonder if the POPE has ever read that verse in the bible that states "I SHALL HAVE NO FALSE GODS BEFORE ME" The catholic followers treat the POPE like he is a GOD and he eats it up. He is not a god. He is a man and a sinner that does not have the right to judge others.

I am sick of trolls. I am sick of people hiding behind an anonymous tag and making unnecessary and f'in rude comments. If you want to make comments register. If you continue to be pieces of dog turds I will limit comments to only registers users of this blog.

I don't come into your home and disrespect you and I will no longer allow you to do the same in my home.

So Louisiana and California you know who you are. You spend a lot of time on my blog just to be rude and nasty. Now either come out and put a name and blog to your nasty comments or go crawl under the rock you came out of.

I think it is only natural

Sharon Stone has come under fire for her recent comment: "They're not being nice to the Dalai Lama, who is a friend of mine. And then all of this earthquake and all this happened and I thought, is that karma? When you're not nice, that bad things happen to you?"

But let's be honest here. I think we all feel that way when you break it down. I don't necessarily mean that we all feel that way about China but......

When someone is doing something that we view as "bad" and then something bad happens to them we sit back and say that "maybe" they got what they deserved.

I see Sharon's point. I don't agree with it but you have to admit that she has a point.

China has now decided that they are going to "punish" her for saying such a nasty thing. I didn't read anything about what China planned on doing to itself for their treatment of Tibet but as long as they punish Sharon they are happy. Sharon Stone said "words" China, get over it. Nobody really listens or cares what she says anyway.

I think she is OK

If she is able to do this I think she is OK! I don't know the sex of our geckos. Basically they both look the same on the bottom but Jack is much bigger than Eugene so we have named them she or he based on size.

We call Eugene a girl and in the picture she is on top. I am not sure if geckos can perform this way but I give her an "A" for effort.

I have not noticed any ill effects from the fall (Gecko Disaster). I think everything is ok. They go through strange eating stages where they don't appear to be eating anything so I cannot really tell if she is eating. I know that several days will go by before any meal worms seem to be missing.

The cage is so dirty on the glass because these two Geckos seem to be crawling the glass the entire night. They really want out.

I had no idea that Bush was this powerful

Gas is costing many truckers in the UK $9.00 a Gallon. Yes you read that right. I thought that our $4.00 was because of BUSH and his "oil buddies". It is amazing to me that the President of the US has that much power over a nation like the UK.

We are spoiled rotten in the US. As I stated in a posting a while back. I remember traveling to Canada when I was little (over 25 years ago). At that time Canada was paying X amount for a liter and we were paying that same amount for a gallon.

I am tired of criminals. I am sorry but I loved the video from Philly a couple weeks back. You know the one where the cops hauled those guys out of the car and then beat the living snot out of them. That's right I LOVED IT.

These were men that had just been involved in a police witnessed drive by shooting. They were not being pulled over for a traffic violation. They tried to kill innocent people. They deserved every bruise they got.

This happened in my son's classroom as well

A mother is claiming that her 5 year old son was voted out of the class. This happened in my son's classroom when he was in first grade. The class took a vote to consider a certain child no longer a part of the class. They were encouraged to do so, so that the class could still win "behavior/work" points. They were told that the class could not earn these with this certain child involved. The teacher who is so self-righteous told this to me. I didn't hear it from CAL. She saw nothing wrong with what she had done.

I will say one thing in defense of the teacher (in the story). The mother admits that the boy has "behavior problems". She is having him tested to see if he has Autism or other disorders. He probably has the same disorder that many of our young children suffer from "LACK OF PARENTING". I don't know if they can collect Social Security for this disorder but I know that they can for the other disorders that parents are so anxious to have their child labeled with.

I AM NOT SAYING THAT EVERY CHILD WITH A DISORDER FALLS INTO THIS CATEGORY.

To this day (5 years later) I still regret not going to the administration regarding this teacher. She had quite the reputation before we came to the school. She lived up to that reputation. She made one of CAL's friends sit in the bathroom during the day because he was so nervous that he would cry.

I honestly think that in order to receive SS benefits for a child, the parent should have to attend parenting classes. HECK I think all of us should have parenting classes. I know I could use them.

UPDATE: They keep running this story and stressing that the child has "special needs" but then state that he is being tested. A child should NOT have a "special needs" tag unless there is medical evidence to back this up. The news is making it sound like he already has the tag. It is my understanding that to date NOTHING has been found "wrong" with this child. Again I will say he probably suffers from the LACK OF PARENTING SYNDROME. This is a horrible thing to have to subject a child too but the child is NOT special needs because of this syndrome.

Gecko Disaster.

Last night I decided to help my son do his geckos so that he could practice his trumpet. In the middle of cleaning the poo and feeding them Eugene had climbed on top of the cave and was trying to get out. She kept looking up and I felt so sorry for her. She just wanted freedom. Well let me tell you freedom is not all it is cracked up to be.

I pulled Jack out first because he is bigger and easier to handle. I placed him in the hall and went back to retrieve Eugene. Jack just stood there and really didn't move much at all. About two feet either way was all he was willing to go. Eugene, however, went up and down the entire length of the hall. Now geckos are not fast so I was not really worried about them getting away from us.

It came time to put them back in their cage. I grabbed Jack and CAL grabbed Eugene. I then heard CAL say "Oh Shoot". I said "what happened did she get away." CAL said "no, she jumped out of my hands." I went in and placed Jack in his cage and I noticed that Engene was not moving her back legs at all. She was dragging them. I said "oh Pal you broke her legs." I know it was a stupid thing to say to him. He started crying because he knew that I was right.

Then my husband came in and took one look at Eugene and started crying and screaming at me. I was trying to hold CAL because he was hysterical. He blamed himself, I blamed myself, and my husband (the loving man that he is) blamed me. Hubby was still screaming at me and I am trying to comfort CAL and tell him that it was not his fault. He asked if Eugene was going to die and I said "probably". Boy you say stupid things when you have people screaming at you. Now this entire time Hubby is yelling at me and telling me how horrible I am. That I don't "make good decisions". Yeah I made a really bad one about 18 years ago!

CAL broke free from my arms and started running through the house crying and screaming. I tried to go after him but all I wanted to do was knock my husband on his A55. CAL now hearing hubby blame me, started telling me how it was all my fault. I just walked away. I wanted to go do some research on the computer to see if we had to put Eugene out of her misery.

I could not even look into the cage. I felt so bad. She looked so helpless dragging her back legs like that.

A few minutes later I hear hubby screaming for me. I just ignored him and wondered if his life insurance was paid. Then CAL came running and said that hubby thought Eugene would be OK. I went to look and that stupid gecko was climbing all over the cage. She was up over the cave, then on top of the log, and then over to the bigger cave. I don't know what happened but she was fine.

This morning she does not appear to have any ill effects. Thank God. When CAL was screaming through the house he was yelling "God please let my gecko be ok". Just before CAL went to bed for the night he said "Mom, God answered my prayer" He was very happy.

I slept in the spare room. This morning hubby wanted to know why? Was I mad? Well as I am sure you know he got an ear full. Actually I said "I didn't know if those sheets were washed since the last time The Dick had been here or not, just so you know I would rather sleep on them then sleep next to you." That about says it all.

Synthetic Wicker – Attack of the Clone!

Synthetic wicker outdoor furniture is one of those things that is more expensive than the real thing. I use to think that all knock off, replicated items we’re inferior to the real deal but with modern materials becoming so magnificent it seems that the copies are better than their inspiration. This makes me sick.

I don't even know where to start. Aid workers and UN Peacekeepers are s3xually abusing small children in famine-gripped and war-ravished countries. Apparently these people feel that these kids will do "anything" for food and supplies.

I am so sick of hearing about this subject. I think the time has come to make s3xually abusing a child a death sentence. This is getting out of control. As I have blogged before I had a troll on my site advocating the legalization of s3x with children. This theory was that it was a beautiful act and children should be allowed to enjoy s3x.

Each and every year we push the envelope on what is acceptable behavior. Mark my words in ten years this type of behavior will be accepted by a large group of people.

We need to get back to the basics and have severe punishments for those that do not follow the laws. If you s3xually abuse a child, you don't need a lawyer, you need Jesus. You are going to die.

2008 - The year of Natural Disasters?

Well that is the way it is looking. It seems like every time you watch the news, read a paper, or open your browser there is another story of a natural disaster.

I love the people that say that these are punishments from God for (insert your favorite sin here). The favorite sin of most of those people is homosexuality. Like that is the "worst" sin these people can think of. The funny thing is God looks at all sin the same. I don't for one second believe that gay people choose to be gay. I think it is something that they are born with. I think it is something they struggle with and either learn to love themselves the way God made them or live in fear, shame, and with depression their entire lives. I think I speak for most people when they say that, just like with a man and a woman, they just don't want to see public s3x. You know what I mean, hanging all over each other and being nasty. Anyway I digress. Back to the natural disasters post.

Then there are the people (Al Gore) that claim - Global Warming. That could be... if it exists. Isn't it funny that both sides of that argument claim to have proof one way or the other. What are we suppose to believe? Me? I think if global warming exists then it is NOT a man made issue and it is just part of the "process". One thing I do believe with all my heart - it doesn't matter. The Earth will last long enough for God to return and take us home.

Geeesh!!

I go away for a few days and y'all forget about me. What is up with that. I really needed a break. We were suppose to take a three day weekend but I am not feeling very well today so I might as well be working on the computer. We have had two very relaxing days and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed them.

I have heard this defense a couple times

in the past few days. Does not pose a threat to society.

The first time was in regard to an incest case. The person (or persons) should not go to jail because they don't pose a threat to society. They only victimize their immediately family so they should not go to jail?

Now there is this case. Brenda Sullivan kept her teenage son in a cage and he was only 49 pounds when authorities found him. The prosecutor believes that she was trying to literally starve him to death. Her defense was that Ohio authorities told her to keep the boy in a crib. Apparently he had severe medical and emotional problems. She also had two other children that testified they were kept in similar cages.

Charles Fletcher the wonderful defense attorney for Sullivan stated the she does not deserve the 20 years that she received in jail because she does not pose a threat to society. I am sure that jail cell will be the Hilton compared to what that poor child lived in for years. I say make the punishment an eye for an eye. She should live in the same conditions that her son lived in for the next 20 years.

Her husband was also arrested in the case but he died in prison while awaiting trial. Such a shame.

I don't agree with this at all. I think our justice system has failed these kids something fierce.

They have had so many people who have broken free tell of the horror stories. These kids need to be protected from these "religious" extremists. I would just like to know who told them it was OK to force young children into marriage/s3X. What god gave them that right.

Nancy Fitzpatrick tried to kill herself. She blames online pharmacies because she had prescription drugs shipped to her without seeing a doctor. Did I read that correctly? She purchased illegal drugs and she blames the pharmacy because they sold it to her?

The pharmacy is wrong and should be stopped from selling drugs without prescriptions but are they to blame because you circumvented the safety of a doctor. Nancy Fitzpatrick is the person who created the demand for these companies to begin with.

Just in case you were wondering

the birds start singing at approximately 4:30 a.m. in New Hampshire.

I woke up around 2 and could not get back to sleep. I went and worked on the computer for a few hours as you can tell by early morning posts. Around 4 am I decided to give it another try.

I laid there in silence and then like a light switch the birds started singing. I looked at the clock 4:39. That was the last thing I remember. When I opened my eyes again, expecting to see 4:45 the clock read 5:30. Yeah I slept for an hour. I think it may have been the birds.

Maria Sue Chapman (2003-2008)

Maria Sue Chapman, adopted and youngest daughter to Mary Beth and Steven Curtis Chapman, was killed Wednesday night in a tragic accident in the family driveway on Wednesday evening. She was LifeFlighted to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital but for only reasons God can explain she went home to Him... not to Franklin as we all so desperately wanted.

Your prayers are needed for all in the Chapman family. This is a family who has so generously loved and given to so many. Just hours before this close knit family was celebrating the engagement of the oldest daughter Emily Chapman, and were just hours away from a graduation party marking Caleb Chapman's completion of high school. Now, they are preparing to bury a child who blew out 5 candles on a birthday cake less than 10 days ago. These words are unthinkable to type. - Jim Houser (Manager)

Lou Pealman realizes he did harm

but he only realized that after his arrest.

This boy-band mogul has been convicted of scamming investors out of millions of dollars. The judge has given him the opportunity to buy has way out of a prison sentence. However, the judge said he would reduce Pearlman's sentence by one month for every $1 million returned to investors. I wonder if he will look for investors to put up THAT cash.

"Over the past nine months since my arrest, I've come to realize the harm that's been done," Pearlman said in a short courtroom statement. "I'm truly sorry and I apologize for what's happened." I love that line. "since my arrest, I've come to realize the harm." He didn't see anything wrong before his arrest but now that he is facing jail time he sees it.

This guy founded Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync, why does it need someone else's money. He should be rolling in it.

Am I the only one?

I sit here wondering why the house just passed a $290 billion farm aid bill. Why? Everyday you read about the food crisis around the world. Food demand is overwhelmingly high yet taxpayers are still supporting farmers. Farmers have a demand for their product like NEVER before in history. I was surprised to read that corn is not the only crop that can be used for fuel. Grow farmers Grow.

What other "industry" does the government seem to bail out time and time again. This time I am very confused about the reason for the bail out.

I will admit that in the past farmers have needed this type of aid. Why now?

Democrats are so quick give aid to this one and that. How about some aid to the taxpayers and STOP these ridiculously extreme and questionable aid packages.

UPDATE: Here is the breakdown: Two-thirds of the $300 billion in spending for the farm bill would go for nutrition programs such as food stamps. (this part of the bill is acceptable assuming that those food stamps are not cashed in for a case of beer and carton of cigarettes - we have all witnessed that little practice.) Another $40 billion would go toward farm subsidies, and $30 billion is allocated for payments to farms to keep land idle and other environmental programs.

Just in case you missed that: 30 billion is allocated for payment to farm to NOT GROW FOOD. All the while the world is in one of the worst food shortages in history. Great bill.

Tragedy for Steven Curtis Chapman

Christian music star Steven Curtis Chapman has lost is 5-year-old daughter in a horrible accident. The little girl was struck by an SUV that was driven my her teenage brother.

Several family member witnessed the accident.

Maria was in the driveway of the family home when the accident occurred.

Maria was adopted by the Chapman family from China. They have two other daughters from China along with three biological children.

Please if you are the praying type send your prayers along. SCC is a model Christian to us all.

16 Years

Hubby and I have been married 16 years. It has not been easy. There have been several times that I thought "this is NOT worth it". Then I spend a few minutes apart from him and I come to my senses.

Our relationship is different than most, for several reasons.

1. We work together so we are within yelling distance 24/7.
2. Our marriage did not "start" out right. What I mean by that is he left his wife and family to be with me. That bothers me a lot. I wish we didn't have that in our history, but we do.
3. There is a HUGE age difference. Hubby is 18 years old than I am. I also joke that he hoodwinked me when a was too young to know better.

I think back over the 18 years that we have been together and try to pin-point the "happiest" times and the "worst times". Oddly enough, and I guess this could be number four, I think we love each other more now than when we were first married. Those first five to six years were definitely the worst. There are several reasons for that. I will not bore you with details.

The happiest times were probably when we first moved to New Hampshire. Our son was still young enough to "listen and obey", and we had a fresh start. I will confess though that I am very happy right now. Our life is falling apart, our business is going down the tubes, and it feels like I am behind in everything. But I am happy.

Hubby complained that I have turned my website into something that does not reflect the "true me". That I am getting "angry" about issues that are really not us.

I normally do not talk politics. I don't understand them and don't care to. This election scares me and I have been going out of my comfort zone.

I also normally do not talk religion. I know what I believe and I usually don't preach to anyone. My husbands daughter is married to a self-proclaimed atheist. Yes we have had our discussions about religion but you will NEVER find me quoting scripture. I have faith. Most of the time I cannot even explain my faith. It is there and I don't know what I would do without it. I feel very sorry for people (that is not meant condescendingly) who do not have Jesus to lean on. Who do they go to when they need reassurance? I cannot imagine going through life feeling "alone". I NEVER tell people "I'm praying for you". I think that is wrong. It sounds like there is something wrong with them and I have all the answers.

I have not always had "faith/religion". As a matter of fact during those first 5 or 6 years of our marriage I was so ANTI-GOD that is was not funny. Hmmmm I wonder if those two things could be related? I thought that "so and so" is very religious and if that is what religion is about then I don't want any part of it. It took me several years to understand that God gave us free will and people do NOT speak for God.

I have been accused of hating other religions. I am scared of the Muslim religion that I will not deny. Honestly though the religion that I dislike the most is Catholic (which is technically Christian) I won't go into any details on this but it is a fact.

Wow can you tell that it is 3 a.m. and I cannot sleep. This post started as a "Happy Anniversary" post and has rambled on for some time.

Bottom line (to keep my sanity and to make hubby happy) I am going to try to keep my site a little more reflective of the "real me".

Let me tell you..... At seven I wanted a penis soooooooo bad. I would have begged my mom and dad for a sex change. I used to pull the front of my pants out to make it look like I was a very well endowed seven year old.

I am very happy with my vagina and now I would not want a penis for anything.

I am sure these have been the longest six months of your life.

Is this really where we are headed.

When I arrived at the school store this morning and opened the cash register sitting in the dollar coin spot was a large coin that I didn't recognize. After further inspection it appears to be a PESO.

Now this coin is significantly larger than the dollar coin.

I asked my three fifth grade employees, "who accepted this coin." A little girl proudly announced that she did. I asked her what she thought the value was. She proudly announced "$1.00." I then asked if she realized that it was not American money. She smiled and said "Yes". I then said "you do understand that we only accept American money right?" Her answer floored me "No! , I thought we accepted money from everywhere." "We accept Canadian money" was her next statement. I said "we accept Canadian only in quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. NOT $1.00 coins or $2.00 coins." She then followed it up with "well if we accept Canadian why don't we accept everyone's money?"

I was stunned. I just turned around and left. Are our children so confused that they don't realize that we don't accept "everyone's money"? I tried to find this coin online. I would assume it to be a Mexican Peso but it is not listed under their "coins in circulation" . I think it might be an OLD Mexican Peso. Regardless it has a value of $.09.

A few days ago I made the comment that the US was founded on Christian values. Well as you can guess I took a ton of heat for that comment. Today I found an interesting piece from the Declaration of Independence that might be interesting for some of you. I am sure that even with this in front of you, you will twist and turn but that is your right.

Global Warming?

Last night I had to turn on my electric blanket in the middle of the night. Two days ago we had to turn the heat on in the house. I have not worked in my "office" in days because it is 65 in there. That is colder than we would have it in the winter but frankly it breaks my heart to turn the heat on in May.

I am wondering when the Global Warming crisis will hit New Hampshire. Probably about the same time as acid rain, Y2K, and all the rest of the "end of the world" events.

Where the heck is my check?

I need some stimulation. The date has come and gone and still no check. We are definitely a direct deposit "customer" but yet no money to stimulate me.

I have to pay some people that I owe money. That is definitely my top priority. To pay the people that have helped us when we were down.

I think a transfer might be appropriate

A firearms instructor in southern Massachusetts had his gun go off during a weapons safety course. The bullet ripped a hole in is pants but missed his leg and foot.

Major Donald Lamar has been teaching safety since 2005. The Sheriff said that he made a "gross error in judgment" by using a loaded weapon. Gee do you think?

Lamar, has been transfered and will not carry a firearm while they investigate.

I think that a transfer was appropriate in this case. I am just relieved that no one was injured. This Major obviously has little respect for his weapon. Why would you endanger the lives of others carrying a loaded weapon in this case. Gross error in judgment is an understatement.

I laugh so hard when

I hear someone say that a persons loyalty and patriotism should not be discussed during a Presidential campaign. Hello? How can you have someone running a country if they are not loyal and patriotic to that country.

It is opinions like this that will be the reason we will be kissing the Quran in a few years.

Is this racist?

What is your opinion? Do you find this shirt racist or offensive? I personally think that the monkey who resembles Curious George should be the one that is offended. Anyway if you think that is racist and offensive I can only imagine what you think of the next photo.

There is even a photo out there with GW Bush in a hat and the monkey photo next to him is Curious George in a hat. Go figure. EXACTLY how do you Obama supporters explain this? You have one photo of Obama and twenty five or more with BUSH. Explain to me how the t-shirt is racist again?

Stick the racist tag on your shirt Obama supporters because it applies to you. Where were you when George was being compared to a monkey.

After Obama disarms the US and we sit here with our A55es hanging out, his Muslim buddies will be taking over and the maker of this t-shirt will be dealt with. He will probably receive the "severest of punishments" . My question is exactly what is the "severest of punishments". DEATH! For making a t-shirt and using the Quran for target practice. That is worthy of death? What other punishment could be described as the "severest of punishments"?

It is a disgrace that our military has discharged this solider. Once again we are bowing down to these terrorists.

The more I think about it we should pull out of Iran and let these animals kill themselves in their constant civil wars.

If I see one more video of an American solider kissing that book and taping it on his head I am going to scream. As far as I am concerned that solider should be the one dismissed. We do NOT have to HONOR the Quran. We should not be disrespectful to it either BUT that solider gave it the death the Muslims want, to be blown to pieces.

"Prince Caspian" might be missing something

or is it Disney? I read the article on CNN regarding "Prince Caspian" and how well the movie is doing. I had to read the article twice because it appears that something is missing. Is CNN missing something? Is Disney missing something? Is it on purpose or purely an accident?

"Prince Caspian" is a CHRISTIAN movie. Oh heavens did I just say the forbidden "C" word. That is right folks C.S. Lewis is a Christian author and his books are Christian based. Did they remove that aspect from the movie?

I thought it was very well hidden in "Narnia". I am wondering if it is in the movies at all or are they are just not advertising that. If you have seen the movie let me know. Would you ever know that it is a Christian movie just by watching?

It is a very sad day when we have to hide the fact that this country was founded and built on Christian values.

Have you ever.....

Applied for one of those online mortgages? I hate our mortgage company right now. They are are so inflexible that it makes me laugh. I also think we are paying a very high rate. I would love to get it through a different company.

When we applied for the mortgage is was through a local company. They knocked themselves out for our business. I loved that company. They held our account for several years but then they sold the mortgage. When I found out I was very upset because we had had dealings with a branch of this company before. My husband assured me that buying and selling of mortgages happens all the time and just wait and it would be sold again soon. He lied. We have been stuck with this company for years.

Because the housing market has gone down the Johnny Hopper I am afraid to find out what our house is worth. I would love to apply for a mortgage but I don't want the rejection. I am thinking that with an online mortgage it might be different.

On Saturday

I had to buy CAL some shorts. The shorts he had from last year were several sizes too small. He looked terrible. I was not sure exactly what size to purchase for him so on Saturday we headed out to the store. I am very glad that he did. The sizes were crazy.

I love the Old Navy and that is where we went. CAL decided on a couple different pair. The funny thing was we bought size 12, 14 and 16. Yes my 11 year old wanted a size 16. As you can probably guess they were very baggy but he looked cool. When we arrived home I decided to look online to see what they had. I was very upset to find the exact clothes we bought in the store were several dollars cheaper online. CAL had already removed all the tags so I couldn't return anything.

I have decided that in the future we will go to the store pick out the styles and sizes and then come home to place my order.

Ted Kennedy my prayers are

that you will finally retire and spend the rest of your days drinking your dinner from a straw. Of course you spent most of your life drinking your dinner didn't you.

I don't want anything bad to happen to Teddy I just want him out of politics so that the people of MA can see that they have been hoodwinked for YEARS.

I dislike Ted Kennedy more than any other politician. YES even more than Obama, Kerry, Clinton, or Gore.

BTW is there a statue of limitations on murder? Lost control my A55. Isn't it lucky that when you lost control at least you got out alive? It is no wonder that his ex-wife is a drunk. If you made a mistake like marrying this bum you would be an alcoholic too.

I am sorry that I cannot muster an ounce of sympathy for this joker. Talk about riding the coattails of family members. He is in the small category as OJ. We all know they did it and there is not a darn thing anyone can do about it. GREAT JUSTICE system.

Glenn Davis has agreed to give up his nickname.

Glenn Davis of the Boston Celtics has humbly agreed to give up his nickname. He has to be the first to admit that Lebron James deserves the name so much more than he does.

Glenn Davis is an up and coming star with the Celtics and some of you might not know what his nickname is, BIG BABY.

Lebron James deserves this nickname. He is the biggest baby I have ever seen. He complains more than almost any player in history. Since we don't have TV we listened to the game on Sirius Radio. Lebron was complaining to the refs , his teammates, his coaches, and everyone else. I hope Cleveland signs this guy to a LONG term contract. Congratulations Cleveland. YOU ROCK! With this whiner on your team you will NEVER win a championship.

He may have been the leading scorer on your "team" but unfortunately he is the only player on your team. He is a one man show. He is a great "player" but that is where his greatness ends.

Yearbook Photo's Altered?

When I read this story on CNN today it made me a little concerned. You might remember that I work on the yearbook for my son's elementary school. This year, because of the teachers "strike", I did most (90%) of the work by myself.

The article is about an employee at Lifetouch altering photos in a schools yearbook. Heads were placed on different bodies, necks were stretched, and a girls arm was missing while another head was placed on a nude body with the chest blurred.

I think we are going to have to take a very close look at our yearbook when it arrives, before we hand them out to the children.

For some strange reason school requested that all head (on the children) be the same size and all eyes be at the same level. To me this seems like a stupid request and I am sure that the Lifetouch employee that had to alter all these photos thought so too. That does not give him/her the right to do what they did but it could definitely explain the situation.

Lifetouch said the Employee messed up, but wasn't being malicious. What? How can you "accidentally" switch heads, and place a head on a nude body? I could see how the missing arm and the stretched neck could happen.

The schools yearbook advisor said they will spend the weekend rebuilding the yearbook? I know the Lifetouch program very well and there would be absolutely no reason to "rebuild" the yearbook. It is all computerized and Lifetouch would be the only one that would have to do anything.

Eight glasses a day is it really necessary?

The question has been asked, do we really need eight glasses of water a day? The answer. Maybe. After extensive and expensive research they have determined that you MIGHT need less or maybe even more.

I am sure glad that they researched that. I have been very worried about exactly how much I should drink. I guess these researchers think that most people are not smart enough to know when they are thirsty and that you should drink when you are thirsty.

Let me tell you, during the summer 8-8oz glasses is not nearly enough water for me. During the winter I would be going potty every 5 minutes if I drank that much.

There you have it and I didn't spend one single tax payer dollar to let you know my secret. Drink when you are thirsty and in the summer make sure you drink a little more than the winter. OH and if you are exercising you should always drink a little more than when you are inactive.

35 Years is a long time

to be dead and not have anyone notice.

In Croatia Hedviga Golik was found dead after residents of her loft broken into her apartment after they decided that the apartment "should" belong to them. They didn't break in to see why no one had seen the lady in 35 years. They broke in because they were upset and thought they should own the apartment. This doesn't make much sense. The lady lived (or was dead) there for 35 years. Why did they think they should take possession of the apartment. Now the residents of the building are fighting because they think her apartment should be divided among the tenants.

GREAT NEIGHBORS. They sound pretty darn heartless to me. If we don't see the little lady next door for more than 24 hours we go and check on her. Didn't anyone wonder why they NEVER saw the lady.

Her windows were open and they think that may have diminished the smell. The winter months in Coratia have an average temperature of 39 degrees. Don't you think that you might become suspicious for the same windows to be open 24/7/365 or to do the math 12.775 days in a row.

You also have to wonder if anyone paid her bills. Maybe she just had things deducted from her account. That is pretty amazing to have 35 years worth of rent in your bank account.

I declare! It is offically summer

I have poison ivy AGAIN. Yes I know you all find that hard to believe but really I do. Last Thursday, when CAL and his father went for piano, I worked in the back yard. I wore long pants and long sleeves.

I remember at one point the bugs were biting and I itched my side. The other day I woke up with a rash right where my pants sit on my waist. I didn't think much of it but then the next day I had a bigger rash about three inches from that spot. Yep poison ivy.

I only worked in a very small area so I am hoping to find it and remove it this weekend.

At least it is better than the year that I rubbed my face with the poison oak. I was trying to be funny. It it was hilarious let me tell you.

I had pulled this vine out and took it to my neighbor. I asked "is this poison ivy" she said no and then told me why. So I said "oh so I can do this" and I rubbed it on my face. Yes you read that right I rubbed it on my own face.

The next day I woke up and could not open my eyes. My skin was nasty. Before it was all over my skin felt like it was an inch thick. I learned my lesson. Don't rub anything on your face.

I took a picture of myself so that I would always remember how stupid I was but it was many years ago and I don't know where it is now.

Sad and Strange at the same time.

In ATHENS, Greece A nine-year-old girl had her twin surgically removed from her stomach. The little girl went to hospital because of pains. Her side was swollen and they thought she had a tumor.

What they never expected was to find an embryo about 2 inches long. The embryo was a formed fetus with a head, hair and eyes, but no brain or umbilical cord.

They also stated that there have been cases where one of a set of twins will absorb the other in the womb but they only occur in 1 out of 500,000 births.

Now the article does not make it clear as to whether the embryo was physically inside her stomach. Not that it really matters.

The little girl is expected to make a full recovery.

Guitar Hero

My son received a Guitar Hero, from his grandmother, for Christmas. He loves the stupid thing. He is not allowed to play often but he will take every second that we give him.

He is very good and it is fun to watch him play.

I know that several kids from his school have had Guitar Hero sleepovers. They get quite crazy.

I have recently heard about a contest that would be perfect for all Guitar Hero lovers. GOBI would like you to fill up on their caffeine and snack chips and then create and upload videos of you and your friends rocking out to Guitar Hero.

All these confessions

regarding OJ are really confusing. If they are admitting to helping OJ with the cover up, wouldn't they be considered an accessory to the fact and why are they not in jail?

My Little Man

I have mentioned before how difficult and exciting it is to see my only child grow up. He is in fifth grade and in less than a month he will officially become a sixth grader.

With this growth comes a change in schools, friends, and so much more. He will no longer walk to school but take the bus. The bus scares the tar out of me. I KNOW the things that happen on the school bus. I took one for 13 years.

CAL has also had a change in friends over the past few months. Kids that he used to enjoy playing with, now seem immature to him. He has friends at the house almost every night and most of the time they are girls. He is still learning to adjust to that but he is making great strides. There is one girl in particular that is turning into the girl-next-door friend. They play Wii, basketball, swing, or just ride bikes. She is such a nice little girl and CAL is starting to see that she is not just a girl but a friend.

With all of CAL's changes, shopping has become an experience. He has to chose his own clothes and I would not dream of buying something without him there. He is very particular about not only clothes but his hygiene products. He likes a certain kind of soap, deodorant, and shampoo. I know that in a few short months he is going to be shopping for the best acne treatment. I am not looking forward to those days. I like his age right now and would freeze him here if possible.

The only bad side to that would be losing all the things I can be blogging about watching him grow and mature.

China’s one child policy

You might remember me blogging about China's one child policy. Now that policy is leaving thousands of parents in China childless. I think the current estimate is 19,500 people have been killed. In one location alone they think 900 children have been killed.

These parents not only have to deal with the death of their child but it is compounded by the fact that it is their ONLY child. Recently China's population minister recently praised the one-child rule, which dates to 1979, saying it has prevented 400 million children from being born. Isn't that great. I only wish that the population minister would have been one of those 400 million.

Because of this law there is a great possibility that families would have one child and then take permanent measures not to have another. There is a $1,000 fine per child for having more. Most middle to lower class families cannot afford such a fine. The wealthy often ignore the law and just pay the fine.

This "law" will bring an end to many family lines. As I stated in my last post, I am sure that many families had one boy (we won't say what happens to the little girls). Now that that boy is gone there is no one to carry on the family name, and most parents cannot have another.

I think this might cause another problem in China. Those women that are not capable of having more children might wind up dead at the hands of the husband so that he will be able to remarry a younger women and have more children.

I am all for population control but I think this is a bit extreme. You should be allowed to have as many kids as you are capable of taking care of.

I think the US might see more Chinese women emigrating here in the upcoming years. It might be a life or death situation.

When my son was younger, the ladies at The Gap and The Children's Place would give us information about modeling almost every time we walked into the store. They thought he would be perfect to model their clothes. He was a beautiful baby and I often thought about entering him in local beauty contests.

Now that the Democratic nomination is a lock.

John Edwards has decided that he will vote for Obama. These people crack me up. They won't support a candidate until it is a lock. Then they expect the rest of the world to be impressed with their choice.

John Edwards is not someone I would consider an asset, especially when it has taken him this long to make a decision. What has changed? If Obama is such and excellent choice, why didn't he make this announcement when he dropped out of the race months ago.

Are voters really that stupid. Endorsements this late in the game should be a hindrance. If it has taken you this long to make a choice then the candidate cannot be that strong of a candidate.

Edwards stated. "There is one man who knows and understands that this is a time for bold leadership. There is one man that knows how to create the change, the lasting change, that you have to build from the ground up," Edwards said. "There is one man who knows in his heart there is time to create one America, not two ... and that man is Barack Obama." Those are pretty strong words for someone who could not make up his mind for months who he would vote for. If Hillary had done better he would have changed the man to woman and he would have given the same speech.

These people cannot be trusted. None of them. I encourage voters to vote with their hearts. The head can so easily be manipulated.

What was I thinking?

Yesterday I went out into my yard and cut the most beautiful bouquet of lilacs. I brought them into the house and put them in a vase and displayed them in my living room. They are unbelievable, I was very careful to chose just the right steams. I wanted a good mix of opened and just about to open.

Last night when we came inside for the night I proudly showed my family. We sat down on the coach to work on the computers and both my husband and I started sneezing, wheezing, and weeping. We looked at each other and then the lilacs.

Yes they are beautiful BUT they gotta go! They will look very nice in the screen house.

Man Kills Family with an Ax

What was his motive. He was a failure and he wanted to save his family from the shame. The man was a self-employed public relations consultant and "He said he'd been speculating on the financial markets and had lost everything, so he... wanted to spare his family the shame,"

The man killed his wife and 7 year-old daughter, drove to a different city to kill both his parents, and then proceeded to yet another town/city to kill his father-in-law. I don't think he is going to be using the "crime of passion" defense.

This happened in Austria which seems to be having it's fair share of publicity lately. You will remember Josef Fritzl who held his daughter hostage for 28 years forcing her to have his 7 children.

14 Days and Counting.

I am not sure what the longest time period that we have gone without speaking to each other but I think this might be getting pretty close to that.

There was a time when we spoke to each other on a nightly basis. I miss the friend that I had then (many years ago) but unfortunately that friendship was gone long ago.

Now we rarely speak but the phone would ring at lunch time and I knew who was on the other end. I was OK with that.

Words have been spoken, secrets have been reveled that make the situation hopeless.

Now we all have to live with it and I think there is only one person that is happy with that.

Air Canada covers the cost of two additional flights

when a group of busy travelers leaves their 23 month old boy at the Vancouver Airport.

It was the classic case of too many adults. Each adult thought the baby was with the other. Jun Pareno was was emigrating with his family from the Philippines was running late and he thought his son was with the one of the other three adults.

They didn't realize the boy was missing until someone from the airport contacted the pilot on the plane. Apparently they were all separated on the plane also.

Now the best part is Air Canada paid to have the father fly back and get the boy and then fly to be reunited with the other adults. That is service.

I hope someone comes to my rescue when I am that stupid. I bet they didn't forget their cell phone, lap top, blackberry, or luggage.

Newly elected 19 year-old mayor

states "The public placing their trust in me is the greatest, humbling and most awesome experience I've ever had in my life,"

I have ever had in my life? You are nineteen. The most awesome experience that you have had so far is the first pup tent in your pants.

The Oklahoma town must have been real disappointed in their former mayor for the town of 38,000 to elect such a youngster. I wonder how many voters even realized they were voting for a child.

Well I hope that he can bring "change" to this town. It seems that that phrase "change" attracts voters. I don't understand why?

Florida wildfires.

A suspect is in custody in the Florida wildfires arson investigation. I think that every Floridian that has been effected by these fires should take turns wiping that stupid grin off his face.

Milestone

I almost forgot to tell you that I reached my 10,000 visitor since I started the paid blogging back in August of 07. I don't think that is too bad. My best month was April with 2,689 visitors.

It has come to my attention,

That Amanda over at Brandon's Puppy has been discarding her expired weight loss pills. I don't know, call me silly, but I NEVER look at the expiration date on medicines that I take. Once in awhile I will look for CAL's sake but not often.

They are like the best if used by dates. There is nothing wrong with the medicines they are just better if you use them before they expire. They might not be as effective as "fresh" product but they are too darn expensive to just throw away. I hope that she did not flush them down the toilet.

If you remember some time back I wrote about pharmaceuticals in our drinking water. They claim that some of them end up there because we flush our expired drugs.

Amanda stop the insanity. Stop throwing (especially flushing) those drugs.

Someone help me PLEASE!

I am not sure what started all these strange thoughts going through my head today.

I have not accomplished anything this morning/afternoon. I am too busy looking into 9/11 conspiracy theories. NO I DON'T BELIEVE THEM. I am just in a very weird mood.

I have also been thinking like a Democrat today. I have even been a little anti-Bush this morning. Some one please help me. I cannot take this torture much longer.

I think our financial worries have pushed me over the edge. I don't think Bush is listening to the American people right now. Why in the world are we buying gas (at the highest prices in history) to stockpile. You stockpile when gas is low. We are at 97% capacity for crying out loud give us a break.

I am tired of hearing about tax dollars being spent on rebuilding IRAQ. Why are we not using their money to rebuild. They blow up their own building and then we use our money to rebuild. I know that the US has done their fair share of damage but most of the current damage is because of their civil war.

I am tired and whipped.

Opps I did it again.

It appears that I have got myself into trouble with the school again.

As you know I run the school store, and have for 4 years now. Well CAL is in 5th grade this year I worked extra hard to make sure I made the most money for this class.

I recently inquired as to what the money (several thousand) would be used for and got very vague, mind your own business answers. I didn't think this was a very fair answer to someone who has worked so hard to create a business within the school.

I decided that in order for our kids to benefit from the school store that I would give them a few items that we had extra of (in other words, didn't sell very well)

I gave each class (five in all) a free item from the store. Three of the class received an imprinted school logo notebook. The other two classes received an imprinted highlighter and eraser.

The teacher who is my "teacher contact" found out what I was doing this morning (I told her) and she became very upset with me. After we arrived home from school she called to tell me how upset she was that I would take it upon myself to just give items away. They were not my items to give away.

I tried to explain my side. The money that is raised by this 5th grade class should (legally) stay with this 5th grade class and since the teachers had no plans to give these kids anything "extra" after their teacher strike, I thought they should have a little perk from the school store. What they are asking is that all inventory be transferred to next year. Well that is fine but most of that inventory was bought and paid for this year and is technically the property of this 5th grade class.

I put a call into the Principal and have not yet learned what my fate might be. This should be real interesting because I can be pushed but I would not recommend pushing me very hard at this point in time.

Contributing to my miserableness

This is a tree in our front yard. It is so beautiful. Behind the tree, closer to the house, you can see some of the other flowers that are in full bloom. The picture does not do the yard justice.

I worked under that tree (edging around the base) this weekend and it didn't take me long to realize this tree was contributing to my allergy issues.

Hey you have to have your priorities right?

An Australian driver AND TWO other adults make sure that a 30-can carton of beer was secured with a seatbelt while a 5 year old was unrestrained and sitting on the floor.

The driver was fined. That is great but what about the two other adults in the car. Don't they play a role in the matter. They should have been fined for endangering the welfare of a child. I would think they would have at least tried to switch the kid and the beer after they were pulled over.

The arresting officer pulled the car over for being unregistered. He didn't know about the child/beer until he approached the car.

It is heartwarming to know that the US is not the only nation that is going down the Johnny Hopper.

I needed a good laugh.

Today has been one of those days. Business is in the crapper and the weather is cold and dreary. This report on CNN made me laugh out loud. (I don't laugh out loud often)

The top 10 interview mistakes.

• Candidate answered cell phone and asked the interviewer to leave her own office because it was a "private" conversation.

• Applicant told the interviewer he wouldn't be able to stay with the job long because he thought he might get an inheritance if his uncle died - and his uncle wasn't "looking too good."

• The job seeker asked the interviewer for a ride home after the interview.

• The applicant smelled his armpits on the way to the interview room.

• Candidate said she could not provide a writing sample because all of her writing had been for the CIA and it was "classified."

• Candidate told the interviewer he was fired for beating up his last boss.

• When the applicant was offered food before the interview, he declined saying he didn't want to line his stomach with grease before going out drinking.

• An applicant said she was a "people person" not a "numbers person" -- in her interview for an accounting position.

• During a phone interview the candidate flushed the toilet while talking to hiring manager.

• The applicant took out a hair brush and brushed her hair

My favorite is the one in bold. I had a friend in college that worked for a lawyer. She would complain that the lawyer would use the bathroom while recording dictation for her. It was not always "good potty" either.

Some of the other mistakes are bad mouthing your last boss and dressing inappropriately. I wonder if that girl that was denied access to her prom might want to think about her clothing before she goes for a job interview. But after listening to her talk I think me might have a difficult time regardless.

If Obama becomes President

Apparently we will have more states added to the union. Why? Because Obama thinks that we have 60 states. He has been to 57 of them and has one more to go. Oh but wait his staffers would not let him go to Alaska or Hawaii. Thanks to Pamibe I can share with you an Obamanation moment.



NOW THAT WOULD BE CHANGE WE COULD BELIEVE IN. He can add PR, Guam, Washington DC. Where are the other seven going to come from.

Definition of a Superdelegate.

Someone who waits until they think they can safely predict the winner of an election and then, and only then, come out in STRONG support of the candidate.

Why did it take so many of these "sugerdelegates" so long to come out in support of one candidate or another.

I don't think either of these Democratic candidates are worthy of The White House. Clinton's character can be judged by the company she keeps. She has had more "supporters" turn Benedict Arnold than any candidate in history. It says a lot about her friends/supporters. They are a bunch of back stabbing untrustworthy individuals.

Obama has also proved what type of individual he is by his company: terrorists, racists, and communists. If Obama was white he would have been run out of the election months ago. This day an age it is only acceptable to be black and racist.

McCain is the best of the worst. This is what we have been left with. God help the US.

Some will call this an invasion of privacy.

I think that DNA samples should be taken upon birth. These samples should be kept in a database to help fight crime.

Think how much our crime rates would drop if people knew they would be caught every time they committed a rape, murder, or other violent crime.

Some will say this is an invasion of privacy. Well if you don't plan on being a criminal, why would you worry? There should be a line of course. The information should only be used for certain crimes.

This case is a perfect example. This lady was raped when she was 18. The scum was not caught until she demanded the case be reopened 20 years later. The scum bag had been arrested six times before her attack and at least six times afterward.

Alphonso Hill pleaded guilty to raping Neuman. A DNA sample, taken in prison, led to charges in six other rape cases. They suspect him in at least 20 other rapes. Once a rapist ALWAYS a rapist. There is no cure, rehabilitation, or punishment that will make a rapist stop. DEATH is the only cure.

Now some will say that only violent criminals should have to give samples. Well I somewhat agree but there has a be a crime to start the criminal on his path. How many crimes will he commit before he is caught?

Government Coverup

The biggest government cover up in our history is the link between autism and vaccines. I think there is a link and our government doesn't want to admit it because then people will not get their children vaccinated and look at all the money the pharmaceutical companies will be losing.

I spoke briefly with CAL's doctor the other day about the situation. It is funny because people in the medical profession look at you like you are crazy when I think that it can be proven there is a link BUT the medical profession has to prove that. Why would they want to?

Do you really think that it is a coincidence that the majority of kids are healthy/normal children until they get those vaccines.

Natural Disasters

I have been on this Earth almost 39 years. I cannot remember a time when the natural disasters seem to be so frequent as they have been these past couple of months. China had an earthquake over the weekend, not to mention their recent health epidemics. Storms in the US have killed 22 in the past few days. We don't really even have to mention Myanmar.

Biblical scholars will tell you that the end times are very close. I don't know? It scares me a little. While I firmly believe that Jesus is the way, I wonder if I truly have Jesus in my heart. I definitely do not have that peace that all preaching Christians have.

I am sure there has been a time in history when disasters have been this frequent. I tried to do a little research on the subject but...... Have you noticed how it is almost impossible to find anything on the Internet anymore? There is so much worthless information that Google ranks high that it is hard to find something relevant. Google stinks.

MP3 Rocket for Unlimited Music Downloads.

I was very excited when I learned of a web site called MP3Rocket. They offer unlimited access to 12 million songs. You can get free music downloads, movies, games and more. I promptly download their free software and downloaded a few songs that CAL has been asking us to buy for quite some time.

I found their song selection incredible. There were almost too many songs to choose from. For example my son loves the song “Low” by Flo Rida. When I typed the song and artist in it brought up 419 choices. I think that many songs just clogs thing up and they should consolidate.

I downloaded six or seven songs and wanted to burn my own CD. I will be the first to admit that I am not computer savvy but I could not get the software to work with Windows Media player or iTunes. I sent a message via their forum for help. I was shocked at their answer. I was told that in order to get help I would have to become a paying member.

Well my position on that is….. If I cannot figure out how to use your software why would I want to purchase a membership? I spent several hours trying to burn a disk and finally gave up. I think I would have liked the program if I could have had access to some instructions.

MP3Rocket offers access to hundreds of computer games that will keep CAL happy for a long time. I would definitely recommend MP3Rocket to my friends that are more computer savvy than me. I don’t think I will be using it much unless I can find someone to help me figure things out.

Janet Evanovich

I am reading "Lean Mean Thirteen" It amazes me but I love this series of books. Usually I bore of the characters after a couple of books in any series, but not this one.

I will admit however that I had to skip a couple books down around four or five. I am not a prude but the language in a couple of the books so such a turn off that I stopped reading them. I think they were the books with the cross dresser Sally Sweet. When every other word is the "f" word is gets real old real fast.

If you have not tried the Stephanie Plums novels they are hilarious and will keep your interested through thirteen books.

Low key weekend.

We woke up this morning to an early spring day. Cold, windy, with the threat of rain in the air. We had all good intentions of working in the yard. We dragged out all the tools for our gardening. I edged around two trees in our front yard and then decided that I was not in the working mood.

The hubby transplanted a few perennials from the front yard. I have finally convinced him that we have too many "island gardens". It is just too much to maintain. We are going to eliminated two in the front yard. They are by the road and take a beating from all the snowplowing and don't do that good anyway.

Around 1 p.m. we decided to call it a day. Now we are just sitting in the screen house. I love my screen house. I think we are going to do some computer work and maybe read a few books.

The husband is sneezing up a storm so I don't think he will stay out here long. We have a few trees in the back yard and I think we are all allergic to them.

Tomorrow looks to be more of the same.

Apparently Boom Boom is not allowed

in the White House until 1995. According to CNN a Navy admiral engaged in s3x in the White House in 1990 and was fired because of the relationship and because he lied about almost every aspect of the affair.

Isn't it funny how much difference a few years makes. Just five short years later the President is doing the same exact thing (different room) and getting away with it. I think if I were Stufflebeem I would have been fighting to get my job back under Clinton. He would have viewed Stufflebeem a hero.

When the Clinton thing happened, we had a friend that worked for government he stated that he had to undergo background checks and having an affair was cause for dismal. The theory is if you are dishonest enough to have an affair then you are not qualified to work for the government. He was certain that Clinton would be impeached. As he stated "he has too, they don't have a choice".
