I am in total shock.

I need time to digest this information.

John McCain has chosen Sarah Palin the Governor of Alaska as his running mate.

Off the top of my head, this move scares me and excites me at the same time. She would be the FIRST female VP.

I don't remember this name being mentioned at all in previous articles.

Exactly. He took the opportunity that Obama bypassed & intending to run with it in Obama's & the Democrats' faces. I think he will gain a great deal if he distant hinmself from George Bush, who destroy the credential & reputation of his party single handedly.

I'm an independent voter, but tended to voted for the Democrats, but this year, if I'm going to vote at all, John McCain & Sarah Palin's ticket doesn't look so bad. The only thing that preventing me from voting for this ticket is McCain's view on war. He is willing to let our soldiers stay the course at any cost, is a turn off for me. So, my only option is to vote for Barr, of the Liberal party.

I honestly don't see what Palin brings to the ticket that Pawlenty wouldn't. It smacks of tokenism.

And should anyone with a 3-month baby be running a national campaign?
