Finally a Democrat with a brain. Dan Boren is Oklahoma's lone Democrat in Congress and is NOT supporting Obama.
He said
"We're much more conservative," Boren said of his rural district which stretches across the eastern part of the state and borders Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas.
"I've got to reflect my district. No one means more to me than the people who elected me. I have to listen to them," Boren added. His congressional office confirmed the accuracy of the quotes to CNN.
Boren also said Obama's record "does not reflect working in a bipartisan fashion."Then for some stupid reason he said: he would vote for Obama at the party's convention in August because of the serious issues the country faces.
So in other words is it politics as usual. You are not the best person for the job but I am going to vote for you anyway because we are both Democrats. For crying out loud people get some morals and do what is right. The problem is Democrats have no idea what is "right". They have pushed the envelope so far they cannot see the difference between right and wrong. To each his own, is the way they live life.
That is such nonsense. We have to have standards and rules to live by.
I give Mr. Boren credit for making a stand, too bad he doesn't have enough of a backbone to make the stand mean something.

I saw that article and said, 'finally, a Dem with ______'
(fill in the blank with your choice of descriptor)
Then I read the rest and was completely befuddled...so, is he making a stand or not?
Funny thing was I started blogging about the article before I read the entire thing. I was just so excited that I couldn't wait.
Then when I read about him voting anyway I wanted to delete the entire post but thought it might be interesting to someone.
Plus I felt it was the perfect opportunity to get on my soap box about Democrats and their "to each his own" lifestyle. To each his own means that we shouldn't look down on child molesters, rapest, or anyone because hey "to each his own"
Things that were totally unacceptable twenty years ago are the norm today. And don't get me going about "acceptance". That is what has us where we are.
I believe in "to each his own" but only to a point. When this attitude starts breaking down sacred institutions and affecting the core values of society, then it becomes a problem. Trouble is, there are fewer and fewer boundaries of society being left intact because of this attitude.
