Second, test their customer support before you commit. Customer service is a key to having a good experience. I have left several companies over their lack of customer service. My personal favorite feature is live support.
Third and the most helpful is log onto Web Hosting Bluebook 1and1. They give you the most information in one location. I found the list of the 10 Best Hosts to be a valuable tool. Web Hosting Bluebook gives you a very detailed review of each company.
I am very glad to see that my current company is listed but, it is not in the top five so maybe I have some more research to do.
I would rate Web Hosting Bluebook with ten stars. They have done all the work for you. I have never seen so much information in one location. I also noticed that they have my favorite support feature: live support.
