Twenty Two

We have a little birch tree in our backyard. This morning when I was making lunch I looked out and counted twenty two Morning Doves (aka country pigeons) on this tree. You can see about twelve of them in this picture. I know this is really exciting news but I was fascinated.

The Hubby and I are avid bird watchers. We have feeders all over the yard and have an amazing variety of birds.

Mourning Doves are lovely and seeing that many in one tree really is amazing.

Well that proves that I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. I always thought they were Morning Doves.

We have more squirrels than birds. Our highest count was 18 and that is pretty hard to count because they move so much.

The Mourning Dove total was 28 by the end of the day. Today there are only a handful. I love both the birds and squirrels.
