Is this any way to live

We have now been trained to always think the worst.

Marketing Mixup Creates Bomb Scare In Ashland Mall

(WBZ) ASHLAND A strip mall in Ashland was evacuated late Wednesday morning because of a bomb scare. It turned out to be a big misunderstanding.Ashland police evacuated the shopping center on Elliott Street after getting a report that someone had faxed a bomb threat to the Bank of America branch there.About 15 businesses were cleared out - including a day care center. The State Police bomb squad was called in and, a short time later, Ashland Police released a statement saying the fax was not a bomb threat. They say a suspicious package was delivered to the bank by a customer at the same time a manager received the suspicious fax.Bank of America's corporate security told police the fax was part of a promotion to kick off banking offers. It was sent internally by a marketing group and the bank claims it was not a bomb threat in any way. One of the images in the fax transmission was cut off, making it appear threatening.Bank of America released this statement:"Fortunately, the incident was a false alarm. A document from a malfunctioning fax and a suspicious package caused some alarm in our Ashland banking center. The safety and the security of our customers and associates are our number one priority."

A good time was had by all

RED SOX fans. I don't think the Cleveland fans had that good of a time. My husband and son had a blast. They stayed the entire game. (which is a miracle because my husband has to be in bed by 8:30 every night) They saw a very good game. They saw Curt Schilling pitch, Kevin Youklious hit an inside the park home run, and they saw Papabolon save the game. (sorry about any misspellings on those names. But unfortunately, Big Papi was out with an injury.

One would think......

It would not take long to find the genius that sent this fax.

Ashland Strip Mall Evacuated By Faxed Bomb Threat

(WBZ) ASHLAND A bomb threat was faxed into a Bank of America branch on Elliott Street in Ashland Wednesday morning. The bank is part of a commercial complex, which was evacuated as a precaution. A day care center was part of the evacuation. The State Police bomb squad was called in and an officer from the unit went into the bank and came out. It's not known if anything was found. If you happen to be watching the Red Sox tonight...

Keep an eye out for my husband and son. They are seated behind the Red Sox bullpen on the catchers side. They have a very good chance of getting on TV where they are located.

These are the free tickets that my son won collecting baseball cards last year. I am very excitied for "C".

They better take lots of pictures.

I am so proud.....

My son had a baseball game today. He was the starting pitcher. (This is not a normal thing, usually he is the #2, and sometimes the #3 pitcher on the team) The coaches' kid has started every game until today. He was so excited. I was very nervous because I wanted him to prove that he deserved to be a rotating starter.

He struck out the first batter. Then a girl that he goes to school with came up to bat. My son was so nervous that he walked her. He gets the giggles and could not get himself under control. The second batter was also a walk. Again he just could not control his excitement. (My son puts on quite a show at each baseball game. He smiles 24/7 no matter what is happening. He also is very loud.... He will yell out how many outs and where the play should be and you can hear him a mile away. You cannot help but laugh. I just hang my head in shame because I know where that "HUGE" mouth comes from.)

In this league they allow stealing and you can steal at will. The two batters on base ended up scoring when they stole bases and the kids on second and third missed the throw to them. This is very common. The next two batters struck out.

The next inning the coach put him back in. I was very surprised, as was "C". Three batters up, three batters down. No walks, no hits, no nothing. Both my husband and I looked at each other and were convinced that we would not see him pitch again. This coach CANNOT have someone do better than his son.

Inning number three "C" is still in there. Oh my Gosh. Three batters up, three batters down. No walks, no hits, no nothing. That was his last inning. He had a no hitter. Frankly the kids on the other team never even hit the ball (foul or fair). At the end of the game one of the coaches said they were going to change his name to "K" instead of "C".

Did I mention how he did on offence. He went three for three at the plate. Three singles. He also made two base running plays that gained his team a couple of runs. On one play he tagged up after a fly ball was caught. His coach is screaming for him to go back, go back. "C" knew he was right so didn't even listen to him. He ended up taking third and home while everyone thought he was still suppose to be at second. At the end his coach apologized and told him that he made the best base running play he has seen at this level.

I have seen my son play a lot of baseball over the past 5 years. He is a pretty good player that often gets overlooked because he does not look like a JOCK. This was the best game he has ever played.

At the end of the game....... The coach gave the first game ball to his kid.... Then gave a nasty looking beat up ball to "C". They normally only give one game ball and that ball is a nice shiny white one.

"C" has been keeping track of his batting average this season. He is 12 for 19.

School Pictures

They had school pictures taken again. There is such a huge difference between the fall and now. It is scary. I don't have a scanner hooked up to my computer right now so you will have to wait.

Send me an email if you did not receive the following picture. This is the fall picture. The spring pictures are very limited and I will try to get at least a wallet out to everyone.

My little man.....

It has been determined that my son needs to start doing some "man's" work.

He did an excellent job. He was so excitied when he was finally able to start the mower on his own.

Happy Anniversary

15 years married
17 years together

I guess I am not a fast learner.

I talked to my son about these numbers the other day and he was mortified that his mom and dad lived together before we were married. Boy I am glad that we didn't have him before we were married. He would be scarred for life.

Cal and Jersery

I just posted about getting two new fish. Well they are both swimming with the fishes today. I have no idea why but i cannot keep fish. My beta's die and now my goldfish. I don't use the tap water I give them bottled water when starting the tank. The beta's will last about 3 to 4 months and the goldfish only lasted a couple of weeks.
