Boston

When it was apparent that we would be moving from upstate NY to another location, the only place we looked was in New England, and to be more specific within an hour of Boston. We love Boston. Oddly enough we don't visit as much now that we live only 40 miles away, as we did when it was a six hour drive and we stayed the weekend. I guess you start to take things for granted when they are close.

One thing that we seem to have a problem with is finding something new and exciting to do in Boston. We know the city quite well and have a hard time finding new places to explore. One of the tools that I use is the HotelsbyCity.net. This is an excellent resource. It not only gives you hotel information (which we still use even living so close. There is nothing better than spending a weekend in Boston), event information, and tourist attractions.

Our most common place to stay in Boston is at the Seaport Hotel. It is usually the most affordable. I notice that this site has very good rates for this hotel. It is not the cheapest hotel in Boston, but we like it. If you are looking for Cheap Hotels I am positive there is something for you in this city guide.

Some of the events that we have taken advantage of are the Boston Pops Esplanade Concerts, North End Italian Feast Days (OH my Gosh this is such a wonderful event. We try to do this each year.), and of course Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall.

Lukie, I think if you're in the Boston viewing area, the game will be on television. I believe NBC is carrying, but not exactly sure. Hope you're having a terrific Christmas!

I could spend all my time in the North End of Boston and never get bored - the people-watching alone is worth the time.

Beantown is one of my fave places in New England...
