Clocks, Curios, and Coffee Tables oh my!

I have never been known for my interior decorating. My house has very common but functional items. I love my beanbag chair.

The only items that I have, that have a little class, are a corner curio, and a wall clock. I don’t know why I don’t have more stylistic home furnishings, probably because there has always been more important things to spend our money on.

That is not to say that, if I had the money, I would not want classier pieces. When we remodel our kitchen I want an island that has bar stools. We need a new TV stand for the living room. The one we have is actually a printer cart. My biggest vice when it comes to furnishings are clocks. I love clocks. I have two cuckoo clocks, a huge clock above the fire place, a broken wall clock that looks so nice I just cannot take it down.

I need to learn to love other things besides clocks, right now I have enough clocks.

Several years ago I spent a fortune on a wicker set for my screen room. What a mistake. Wicker is higher maintenance that I am used to (set it and forget it). The wicker didn’t last that long before it started breaking and becoming uncomfortable to sit in. Next time I will purchase the resin wicker.

LOL...my husband loves clocks, too. We have three of them in our living room alone (not counting any that are on electronics, because if you add those in we have around 8). At least two of the clocks we have up don't work, so don't feel bad there! We also have clocks hiding in closets and hooked to the stairway banister...

We have at least three clocks in every room. We also have several clocks in closets and in the attic. I just cannot throw a clock away. Unless it is a bathroom clock because I refuse to spend a lot of money on a bathroom clock. The moisture kills them quickly. You have me beat on the banister clock though.
