eat sheep. We eat lamb. Have you ever walked into a
restaurant and seen sheep on the menu. Do they call it something else? We are watching an
episode of M*A*S*H and Radar just saved the lamb from becoming Easter dinner. I just started thinking......
hmmmmm why don't we eat sheep.

An older sheep is called mutton when it's food. :-)
OK have you ever seen mutton on a menu. We see veal but not as much as beef. Why is lamb more popular than mutton?
(tried to comment yesterday and blogger comments were having fits *grin*)
In the US it's not a meal that is often served because mutton has a very strong taste that most Americans don't like. (just like we don't see Haggis which is a traditional dish from Scotland made from sheep parts - although I'd never even touch it *grin*)
It's more of a British thing. You'd be more likely to find it over there than over here. Or maybe in a "British" style pub over here.
