When someone is arrested and they are smiling in their mug shot, can't we just impose the death penalty right away. Of course this would only apply to sexual crimes against children (no matter the severity) and other serious crimes. If you disagree with me take a look at the following photo.........

Now his crime.... New Ipswich police arrested Stuart Joaquin for allegedly breaking into a home and sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl. Police responded to a home on Fox Farm Road to a report of a sexual assault in progress. When they arrived they found Joaquin, 49, of 61 Appleton Road, seated in the kitchen after a neighbor confronted him, according to police. Joaquin had broken into the house and entered a bedroom where the girl was sleeping and assaulted her, police said.
