Last night we had a power outage. We lit many candles and then drove around the neighborhood to see what mayhem we could see (there was such a loud Boom! after the lights went out we thought for sure a transformer exploded.) We didn't see anything but a lot of homes without power.
After settling into bed and commenting about how nice it was without the power, the lights came back on. We immediately jumped up and ran around the house shutting things off.
I went to check on my son's geckos because they get very scared in the dark. Well Jack was taking advantage of the dark conditions. What a brute. I started laughing and called my husband to "watch". What is it about "that" that makes us want to watch. My husband arrives and says "ahhhh look how cute, they are protecting each other". I just looked at him with my mouth wide open, rolled by eyes, and thought to myself "this is why we only have one child" I sarcastically said "I don't think he is thinking about protection" and then laughed. When I did that Jack decided he didn't have a good enough "hold" and repositioned himself. Eugene (named before we knew what sex) gave this yelp! I felt so bad usually the geckos don't make any sounds. Just like a typical male. I will say that Eugene had her tail straight up in the air, giving Jack very easy access. Maybe she is a tramp. I ran to get my camera because who can pass up gecko porn. By the time I got back they were done and in opposite corners with Jack on top of the cave acting like he is king of the hill.

HA HA HA!
Now you'll have to keep an eye on Eugenia. Watch for eggs to develop in her tummy. I can't remember how long Speedo was pregnant before laying her eggs.
If Eugenia does get pregnant, and lays eggs, you have to take the eggs out or they'll eat them. And incubate them. I can probably ship our incubator up to you since we're down to one gecko.
Oh, and you may want to prepare a nest for her, too.
