has decided that he would like to blog.... I think this is great. He is learning to write and doesn't even know it. shhhhh don't tell him. His blog is Cal Lacs.
Are you ready because I think hell has frozen over. My husband has started his own blog, At My Witz End. In the past he has had very strong and negative opinions regarding bloggers. Thanks to a little thing called "money" he is starting to become very interested. Now I have to do my homework and get him signed up on a pay per post. He has to have a blog for 90 days in order to be considered.
Take a look at both of their blogs.

I urged my father not to kill Cal's desire to blog. I reminded him that Cal is improving his writing skills by blogging. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
meanwhile, RTY seems impressed by how much Cal has already blogged in such a short time. I'm hoping he rubs off on her!
So... are you going to follow Cal's lead and enable all people to comment?
I will have to have CAL show me how. It amazes me that he knows more about the settings than I do and I have had this account for 3 years. I had no idea that I was not allowing everyone to comment. CAL found out how to add a video. I have not been able to get it to work how I want it to. I want the video in the body of the blog and I can only get it to load in the sidebar. I saw Jason has it in the body so I know that it can be done. Your father has actually been very supportative of the blog. I think he sees the benefits regarding the writing skills. CAL is very excitied (especially when your blogger friends comment) it is the first thing he looks at in the morning. I am going to have to find a way to get him more traffic while still keeping him safe. Any suggestions.
The best way to build up readership is to read other people's blog and comment there. I'll email you a couple links for you to read. They may have some language in them, so you read them first before letting Cal read them.
I added Cal to RTY's blogroll (she only has kid bloggers on her blog roll). He might want to click over to the blogs she has and comment there to try to get added. In all honesty, I don't read the blogs linked on RTY's site, but it seems appropriate to have kid bloggers link to each other.
I know how important it is to offer encouragement, so I will link him regularly.
You might want to look into setting up a sitemeter on your blogs so you can see how many people are visiting, where they come from (both location and what website sent them your way), etc.
